God, I amaze myself on how thick I can be at times. After being explained to the technicalities of the fountain over and over, then searching the forum, it took a simple diagram to make me understand!

D'oh!
This calls for a confused to be turned into a redface but then a biggrin as I finally get it!!!
hooray!

lol - I have massive problems imagining what a move looks like from a text description. The guy that tought me most of my basics that I also practised with a lot has no idea about naming moves. As such I can do loads of different things but end up naming them with literal descriptions - so a 'fountain' to me is actually 'a weave that does a full circle round your body and head'. Both of us have come up with some wiered pendulums and wraps but have never bothered to name or even explain them. Most of them just happen when spinning. I find that I enjoy spinning a lot more when I'm not really thinking about it and just experimenting.

phae'xorl - a fountain is a weave that goes in front of your body (waist wrap) then straight into a windmill (effectively a weave but with a couple of beats behind your head) and then back again. Imagine a hula hoop hanging round the back of your neck that is also resting on your stomach. Thats where your hands go. smile
It looks quite cool and can be continued infinitely.
