Thought id re-do my intro thread
Name: Alex
Location: Doncaster, was living in Leeds for 5 years
Hometown: Doncaster
DOB: 1984
Age: 23
Sex: male
Occupation(s): about to go travelling (so none)
Favorite Food(s): Steak, fish, other seafood, just about anything really
Favorite Color(s): blue i think, white and black too but they arnt colours are they?
Toys: Poi - flowpoi duo, hyperloop socks, monkey fists. Been spinning for around 2 years now so would class myself as intermediate to advanced
Hobbies - other than poi: I like to try and keep reasonably fit, so running, bike, situps, pressups. Swimming when i get the chance. Used to play rugby but that was many years ago
Education: business computing degree at leeds met, worked as developer for a bit. not sure i want to work in an office 9 hours a day for another 40 years though
Favorite Book(s): I dont really read books. I like researching things then buying them. (i get this from my grandad)
Favorite Movie(s): snatch, lockstock, shawshank
Favorite TV show(s): south park, american dad, family guy
Plans for life in general: travel, then possibly work in oz for a year if i can afford a flight. Then maybe do some really hard well paid work like rigging to try and pay some of my 20k loan off
Favorite Music Artists/Composers: hard dance, hard style, trance, garage, hip hop, rock, some indie, blues, classical. fav dj at the moment is probably proteus followed by the prophet
Favorie ice cream flavor(s): mint choc chip
Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? nutella

hi
definatly up for meeting up sometimes in leeds , maybe some sunny days in the park . need to meet some spinners in this area too ,.
been in thailand volunteering for a year and learnt poi in my spare time and weekends partying on the islands ,. still strugling with the behind the back weave , someone please teach me !!!!!!!!!!! before i lose my manhood forever ,
where does everyone meet and wat time , weekends would be sweet

I can do the butterfly, weave and where you spin at either sides from the weave. the only way i can turn around so far is to do the weave then get both spinning next to each other side to side and sort of whip around and turn at the same time, just before the down beat. Im then stuck on the other side spinning backwards

major update, can now do linked weaves, butterfly, windmill, some wraps and handwraps, antispin flower amongst a few others, hyperloop (sort of), thread the needle, split time butterfly, split time butterfly crossing over to reverse and a few other little things.
ill keep going as im now addicted
