Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

I am I think, although maybe not til the friday night, we are helping to organise the workshops and possibly doing a show
if anybody wants to work as crew at the fire gathering I have the signup form e-mailed to me
covers recycling duty, gate duty, car park duty and cooking duty. A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

depends what time of day your measured, your talest in the morning and shortest in the evening before bed

Sunbird: Not even going to make Play festival this year, so I wouldn't hold my breath for me turning up
Having a boyfriend in a different city eats up all my funds unfortunately. I'm doing three festies/meets only this year and those are : Firegathering, Southern Lights and Bestival...thats my lot I'm afraid. This will be the first Play that I miss too 
The height thing is true though...when people ask me how tall I am I often say it's dependant on my mood!

So when are you coming to visit me?Mynic: I wont get there till Friday afternoon/evening myself. I may be able to take a half day but most certainly not a full day's holiday. Will be good to see you as I haven't seen you since...well, PLAY LAST YEAR!!! TOO LONG Mynci, TOO LONG!

hmm.. lets see lo.. i arrive on london around may 3rd. crashin with miss aimee for a bit.. i guess i better see the sights, do the tourist thing while im there.. then, once aimee kicks me out, i have no plans.. so, it could be then.. or any time there-after

lolo firegathering is closer to me than you are so it's further from aimee than you
in fact it's actually quicker for me to get to firegathering than to southern lights We shall catch up soon my dear would have come for your birthday but you told us you were going to London to see Ben
Pete we have a spare small tent we got for Fetus last year so he could come to Southern Lights I may also buy a new one that's nice and large so if you come to my festie you'll have a kip place

Mynci: The plan was to have a quite birthday with Ben...it'as not my fault they threw me a surprise party!

Yeah, only slightly gutted about Play though, so it's not too bad. I just can't get the time off work and I certainly cant afford it...oh well, nevermind! Firegathering and Southern lights will have to do! Theyre both a lot closer to home anyway.

I'm in 2 minds about play as well at the moment.marie won't go to wales because she'll get grief from her mum if she enters the country and doesn't say hi, and I could earn £300 if I work that weekend, it's the busiest gig weekend all year
I may even get 2 or 3 gigs over the 5 days... A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Ah, tis a shame. This Play just does not bode well for the BMVC now does it?
Funny thing is I booked the weekend off ages ago but then a couple of other things came up and they wern't sure if Play was going to happen, so I made the decision to commit to the other things that came up (probably just as much fun but no HOPpers ), thus the situation I now find myself in. in fact it's gonna be wierd meeting you at an event I didn't drive to with you in the same car / convoy not a lot of places we approach from opposite sides.I still have to make my mind up but this year could all be about the cash, I'm hoping to sell my house this year with luck, new place is about half done.

Tis true tis true! But will still be most awesome. I'm bored of waiting for the summer now to be honest! Do you think there is a chance Southern lights may sell out this year? I only ask as I'm not going to be in a position to buy tickets till the 28th of May. This 'living within budget' thing is bloody hard work! Also I'm willing to do a little helping out if you need it throughout the weekend...just not nearly as much as last year
I'm tired...and grumpy...and bored (have loads of work to do but am leaving it so I have a very full day tomorrow!)...Thank goodness it's a four day week is all I can say!

hmm.. i saw cherry beer for sale the other day.. unfortunately i couldnt justify spending almost $8 a beer, so ill have to wait until i get to sunny brighton
