7th LONDON JUGGLING CONVENTION - Sat 13 & Sun 14 Nov 2004

Convention price - Both days are FREE when you buy a ticket to the
professional Circus Space Cabaret on Saturday evening!

Cabaret Tickets: £20 (£17.50 concs.)reserved seat at a table / £15 (£12.50
concs.)unreserved seat

SAVE 10% ON FULL PRICE TICKETS: Buy a ticket for the October and November
Cabarets at the same time and pay £18 / £13.50

Can't make Saturday? Sunday only admission is £6 (don't book, just turn up
and pay on day).

Convention timetable:

Friday 12th November at 8pm (not part of the convention or The Circus Space,
but adults might be interested in seeing it!)

Falos and Stercus in 'Mithologias do Cla' - a voiceless play fusing
abseiling, pyrotechnics, aerialism, martial arts and dance. An adult show
from Brazil featuring gratuitous nudity and simulated sex acts.

Venue: The People Show Studios, Pollard Row, E2 6NB £10 see
www.workshopfestival.co.uk for booking details and also for workshops on
stilts and masks, the can-can and nipple tassel twirling.

Saturday 13th November

11am Convention starts - workshops during day run by volunteers (please
volunteer!), plus videos showing and trader(s).

4pm Combustion Chamber closes to prepare for show (good time to go and watch
the Lord Mayor's Fireworks)

5pm Lord Mayor's fireworks. The display is fired from a barge moored on the
Thames between Waterloo and Blackfriars bridges, so great views can be had
from either of these, or from anywhere on the Embankment between the two.
Find a good spot, dress warmly and prepare yourself for an unforgettable
show.

7pm Bar opens

8pm The Circus Space Cabaret

The delightful and delectable Dave Pickens is our host for the evening. He's
also one half of Swizzleshaker, who mix a dash of circus with a double
measure of swing dance, topped with lashings of comedy in "Cocktails for
Two".

There are two awesome aerial acts - the fantastic Ilona Jantti from Finland
and, soaring above your heads on the Cloudswing, the startling Lucie
Pasquier.

Meanwhile, in Bongo Bolero, the beautifully balanced Penny and Bernie
redefine your expectations of a slick acrobatic act. Watch them and weep.

For an act with a difference, observe the pole play and diabolo finery of
Bruce Wilson, and, finally, whatever else you choose to do, don't miss the
dockyard antics of Hamburg's hula-hoop hero, Tigris.

10pm End of Saturday's events

Sunday 14th November

11am Convention continues with workshops (please volunteer!), videos and
trader(s).

2pm Screening of classic circus clips

5.30pm Convention ends.

Max 200 places - book now on 020 7729 9522 (and there's a convention badge
gimmick thing this year too, not just a mouldy bit of string!). Please note
that the cabaret is on sale to the general public so early booking for the
convention is recommended.

Just realised that this happens to be the weekend closest to my birthday and what better way to celerbrate then go to a juggling convention followed by a house party that one of my friends has foolishly agreeded to host.

so if your all very good from now untill the convention and ask really reallly nicely then god might just move your birthday so it consides with a juggling convention or if that fails your welcome to come along to mine wink

Maybe I should change this too something abit nicer, humm no I still think your all Ccensoredt

Ok the London convention...once again it was held in london.

Show was ok, but still far too up it's own arse for a juggling convention. Funny how the Gandinis passing in the gym is always more exciting than the actual show.

Nice to meet some Hoppers - Pink and Two bags steve.

Finally caught 10 catches of five ring pancakes bounce2 bounce bounce bounce2 bounce

Yes it was very good smile

When I got home last night, I decided to practise some juggling with my new balls that I bought at the convention. My lovely rabbit decided that he wanted the green one and I ended up chasing him round the room while he tried eating it. Its now completely fallen apart frown - no more juggling for me!!!

Slicing the Loaf as we speak.

I need it..... Trust me!
