Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.
The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.
Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!
So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens
St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)
The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)
With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Hey thanks for your reply bender, i thought the edinburgh event was only in the summer but I must have read wrong. Just a quick question though, if I was to just wander the streets in the evenings after dinner would there be many shops open? Coming from lil ole nz I don't know if all shops shut there at 5.30ish aswel or if they are often open into the night during the week? Thanks for your help

I would be happy to welcome a fellow traveller to melbs - I don't live too far from the weekly meets so if u need a hand gettin around after any of the twirling gatherings, gimme a PM.
I can't give you a specific answer regarding shops closing unless i know where you'll be and what shops, however in a worse case scenario most shops close around 5pm on most weekdays, unless it's adult stores, in which case it's better to ask pineapple pete.

I have been told we are staying in the CBD as that is were the training event is.. Its just a shame I dont have the money to stay on longer and through the weekend atleast. Thanks for your help guys, ill keep an eye on the threads in the buildup to the trip

I'm considering going... but I'll have to be in Warrnambool by 8am the next day, so its probably not a great idea...
Last time I showed up there was only one other person not that that wasn't fun anyway...but I hate to sound like something I strive not to be... but I don't really think its worth traveling from Geelong to be there when I've got to be in Warrnambool early the next day if its just one other...
So who is going to be floating around there?
