Posted: This was my first spin I have ever done with fire poi. Nothing to complex as it was my first time. I wouldn't trust myself doing anything much more complex than that with fire at the moment. I didn't have any music on while spinning ether so that felt kinda odd but once I got going it was fine. While I was spinning though I felt amazing. Its a huge rush. Well comment on my first spin.

More light, do it just after sundown or a bit after, or perhaps when theres a bit of light around, its good to see what you're doing with your body, that way if you move your body in a 'dancey' type way we can appreciate that, it also helps us see exactly what you are doing, some 'tricks' can make the same or very similar patterns if you can't see the person performing them.
I guess from there there isnt much to really comment on... If you want further comment on your style or whatnot you'll have to make a glow poi or a sock poi video, I suppose, or just wait until you've improved sufficiently to put some more variated movements in there. Some direction changes would've been good.
Hip reels could be good, also, as you can do them in split time or even time and have them look effective.
You appear to be at the stage where you require a lot of patience. Keep at it, once you get a bit of a flow up the feeling really is a fantastic one and things do get less frustrating from there because the more complex movements are simply building on the basics you're establishing now, so its not really "new" stuff you'll be learning most of the time but more complicated versions of what you are using now.
So yeah... not bad for a first effort, throw some time and patience at it and it'll get slightly easier/less frustrating soon.
