i just bought some glow poi today so in 5 business days i will be learning poi also

I decided to drop into your welcome thread to say "Aloha!".
Ball chains are great, especially for fire poi. I did have to upgrade mine for fire spinning as the first chains I got broke several times. That may have been becuase of the short chain work I was doing. My friend Steve aka Mr Fun set me up with the thicker grade free after I mentioned it to him. I am considering making hybrid chains, one third heavy ball chain, two thirds braided leather and wooden ball handles for throws.
You may want to order a few lengths of ColeCord in different colors, as it is probably the best cord for your poi. There is a good video of Nick explaining it here.

Are you talking about your new glows? That shouldn't have happened. I've had mine for over a year and haven't had any problems with them at all. I would contact HoP and see if a replacement can be provided.
Do you have any backups? A spinner needs more than one set of poi, I have seven myself and that does not my fire poi.
