I went to a Casino night at Gemmas house. (one of the many Hasitngs spinners who isnt on HoP)
Was very careful with my drinking..NYE last year at that house had me collapsed/put to bed by 10.30pm redface
3 cocktails, 3 shots, and a cheese sandwhich biggrin
Piddly, but not over doing it..

I crawled into one of the beds at 1.30. Then thought no. I'm going home to my own bed.
Then nobody would let me leave without an escort. So Gemmas boyfriend and another lad walked me home, in the pouring rain, even making sure that the umbrella was over me biggrin

I've got a slight headache this morning..but its bearable smile

I think he wanted us to leave, but he was wasted so just ignored him... crawled into bed at 4:30... got up at nine, now sitting at my computer. NO hangover (which i feel maybe a delayed one, and appear later today) just friggin tired! *yawn*

We stayed in and had our first family New Years. It was very quiet (infact the quietest since I was about 14!) and very sweet. Altough everyone hit the sack by 12:30 except me, so I stayed up and watched Jools Holland Hootanany for a bit, watched Family Guy then hit the sack

Let's relight this forum ubblove

I stayed at home and played a lot of Warcraft 3 online. Also Unreal Tournament 2004.

But then I'm in a town of 10,000 and no-one I know, so there isn't really much option. Stay inside or go out by myself, and stay by myself all evening... Hmm. Tricky. rolleyes

Happy New Year all. Sounds like most of you had more fun than me wink biggrin

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

I got off work early (thought i had a 3am shift! so what a ^&*%ing relief!!) so I made it to my friend's house for a fancy dress party. I was still in my work clothes so I told them I was dressed as a pizza "i'm not fancy dressed visually, i'm fancy dressed olfactorily...smell me!"

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

I was a 3 night music festival called the Falls Festival in Lorne with Gita. New years eve we were dancing to the Cat Empire (they played the most awesome set!) and then The Dandy Warhols took us through the New years smile

There were no fireworks though frown

I just went for a meal with some friends and then to a couple of bars before heading up to the town square to celebrate the new year. Oh yeah, I should mention we'd been up since 7am to drive over to France and was in Lille biggrin
Saw some people spinning fire poi by the square biggrin
As well as a group of about 30 youths running around, one armed with a brick in his hand eek

Could somebody stop the room please... I'd like to get off

I spent new years on a plane back from Mali in West Africa. I was supposed to be in Segou living it up with the Touareg but there were many horrible scary riots and unrest, became very dangerous so I had to get a last minute flight home. *sigh*

A party at a friend's beautiful beach house until about 11 and then a giant street/beach party with everyone in fancy dress, giving me a chance to recycle my PVC nurse costume. Lots of champagne and so many lovely friends - really the perfect night. Best NYE for years - I had so much fun.

Best place to go in Cornwall for new years is St Ives, the entire town is in fancy dress, about three times the number of people as in newquay, its incredible!
