hold your arms pretty much straight out (not a massive concern, really)
crouch down low (more important)
light poi (very important)
start spinning (also important)
allow poi to roll along the ground (this creates a longitudinal spinning motion, where centripetal force forces excess fuel out of the poi, much like a staff)
Voila. poi burnoff
