Based on Douglas Adams' cult radio series
seeing as ive only ever read the book, and neither seen nor heard it on any other format... is the radio any different, or has somebody not done his research and not realised that the book was the original...
im hopeing that the book was the original thing to avoid sounding like a complete twat... *pre-emptivly hangs head in shame*

Hang thy head in shame for the radio series was the original (and the best) the books were based on the series and then the TV series was based on the book.
The film has great reviews so far and Stephen Fry as the book will be great (Stephen fry was a good friend of Douglas Adams). In the Radio series David Jason (Del Boy) played the part of the Captain of the B Arch - might need to listen to the CDs over the weekend.

I heard that Douglass Adams was very keen on having the book made into a film, and that he actually had something to do with this film version, so hopefully it should be good.

Apparently whenever Douglas Adams worked got set to working on a film adaptation he'd leave it pretty quickly since he'd prioritise to his computer game work.

no DA is dead *head hanging in sadness* i dout the film will get as far as mostly harmless - the whole story got VERY wierd about then (well actually about book 1 but nm that now) i think they're just doing the first 2 books (maybe? seems logical)
oh and marvin has a MASSIVE spherical head - v cool

Each copy of tomorrows Observer comes with free tickets to see the HHGG as well as a free copy of The Resturant at the End of the Universe - how cool is that! :bonce:
