top o' the morning wales based poiple! this is the thread for all things wales based, although the crew is mostly based in the land of taff currently with a sizeable offshoot in the land of tawe, please talk about funky things all over cymru in this thread!!



so, for the uninitiated, here is an exciting list of regular poi activities for the wales based....



Cardiff/Caerdydd:



Thursday nights, 8-10pm, come along to Ebenezer Church (Charles Street, around the back of Burger King and Next) for nofitstate circus' community juggling club, for poi and all sorts of other exciting juggle arts. It's just �2.



Little Devil's Circus coming soon... contact pitman for further details or keep an eye on this thread



on sunny evenings/days, Roath Park (Rec. or flower garden) you may well find a NOn spinning... it might also not be a NOn, or even a HoP person at all, but if you see someone there spinning, you may as well say hello...



at other unspecified times, there may be other meets, check the most recent posts in this thread for specific details...



Juggling Shops



Cardiff Games, Duke St Arcade: although not exclusively a juggling shop, they stock some poi, juggling balls and rings, plus occasional other sorts of toys... oh and the guy who owns it does poi too!



Route One Skate Shop, Morgan Arcade: Stocks variety of juggling equipment, including poi.

Juggling Club, Thursdays 7-9pm In the Phoenix Centre, in the Townhill Area of Swansea. Costs �2 for the session!



Circus Eruption is based in Swansea and they run a juggling club for young people, also frequently advertise in the Big Issue for volunteers to help out, but i don't know anything else about location or anything for that at the moment.....

besides if you want to learn poi then you will have Dunc Ross and Frodo to learn from - IMO the best spinners in cardif 2nyt..........

but if you want to put down those girly poi for a sec **waits for attck from poi folk** ill gladly show ya some staffage action too

probably not going to make it, jumped about a bit too much re living my teenage years at the Levellers gig last night, not sure i'll even make it through this soul sucking day at work.

Had a great spin guys, was ace to see the four poi action too! But....alas i have bad news. At the party ar Ross's house I got the camera out to record some of the back garden stuff, absent mindedly left it out and someone nicked off with the cam F*cking Bastards! To make it worse, it had all my Falmouth and Cardiff footage on the tape inside it

yeah skully's pretty close to swansea! Or else, there is... i don't know if you know about this Skully, but there's a thing called Circus Eruption, Crockett something in Swansea anyway on monday nights, it's for teenagers methinks but they're always looking for volunteers to teach circus skills & says it doesn't matter about your ability. Check the back of the Big Issue, it's usually advertised in there....
