right said fred. some videos for you:

25/9/05 - Orbit has very kindly uploaded all of these videos to a server from where they are downloadable. many thanks to him for doing so

26/05/06 - videos working again, thanks hyperlight and fni for uploading them onto servers this time hug

hug from oli and ros. right click and download to save them,

stix n sox - this is an old one, filmed back in march. features oli walking round a sock, a tree, and russel being silly (7:44, 52mb (for now..))

not a sock in sight - features 3 minutes of oli spinning fire, too fast. i wanted to not do any editing to this, but ended up editing out one bit where i got sketchy in a tangle, this ruins the flow a bit. this video uses the tried and tested formula, fire poi + trance = video, so dont expect anything original. (3:06, 8.4mb)

at the bottom of a cliff - oli spinning socks. if this looks a) messy b) out of control c)like the sketchyest poi ever, then thats because it is. theres some cool bits amongst the maddness though. my excuse for the general ragedness of it, is the wind wink. also some bits are out of focus, becuase when i started filming the sun was out but it promptly went in and it got a bit dark for autofocus. look out for floppy sock. i have one major criticism of this video (aside from it being messy) but im not going to tell you what it is because im not sure how obvious it is. things i learnt making this video: staying upright on pebbles is hard. anyway i hope you have as much fun watching this as i did making it. (8:36, 25mb) ubbloco

the taste of lyme - quick film featuring ninja dave (1:10, 3mb)

strange things happen - this was nearly 'zest of lyme' but daves too slack. this is apparently the first online film appearance of ros (fluffy naplam fairy), she spins poi (and sticks) properly and it rocks smile its quite long because choosing which bits you dont want is hard, so sorry about that. its got some nice views at funny angles in it too, next time the world wont look like its flowing off one side of the shot, i promise. cool (9:00, 24mb)

dinosaurs ate my circles - features a small white fluffy dinosaur and ros and oli doing some tricks with poi in the suuuunnnn biggrin. (8:13, 40mb) or smaller more compressed flash version - made very kindly by matt on www.spherculism.com.

sending signals to spaceships - the video that was then wasnt and now is. ros and oli flag down some passing aliens and teach them how to spin. if anyone knows the music please tell me.

remember: criticism is cool ubbrollsmile and its nice when the sun comes out sunny

thank you smile - Strugz what do you mean you can't see it ?!

no worries dub - I teach you (slightly repetetive) flow, you teach me tech - that way we both win biggrin

Puresock - I always grin like a fool when I'm spinning - unless its after more than 40 hours of being awake and then I tend to go into zombie like state - but still manage to bounce wink

Thank you fluffy ubblove. This is one of the best vids for teaching ubbangel Ive seen in a long time hug. Well lit smile stedy cam smile and a wide variety of moves cleanly executed and seamlessly interwoven smile smile all I can say is WOW eek your amazing ubblove and thanks biggrin.

You did a lot of poi stuff I'm just on the edge of learning redface (I can do them individually but looks sloppy when I try to integrate them redface). Although I'm still at a total loss with the airwraps Pink has been trying to teach me but it still confudels me confused

.

before i met those lot i thought they'd be a bunch of dreadlocked hippies that smoked, set things on fire ,and drank a lot of tea but then when i met them....oh wait (PyroWill)

Digibyte? I think I've seen them live....didn't they have a kangaroo in their act? wink
and every other one of them was called Brother Norm.....

Nice video Miss Fluffington. Just watched it for the first time. Was muchly impressed. Although did you realise you had your jumper on inside out? wink

And at one point you seemed to accidentally let go of one of your poi (like some kind of austramalasian or something). Lucky you managed to catch it again tongue

Some of them doubles moves look very familiar too (I remember exactly where i was when i invented them and everything)....

Otherwise very fluid style, bouncey, perky, smiley, all the other stuff that you don't really need me to tell you you do.
Effortless double staff waist wrap was a particular favourite.

That LeBon wiggle looks awesome now by the way.....

ubbrollsmile

I'll watch it a few more times and come back to write a more comprehensive review in a few days (maybe).

hug2

love and hugs to all

ps Oli looks weird with civilian hair! Took me ages to work out it was him. It was only when he stuck his tongue out to isolate that I clicked biggrin

very very nice,

love the flow FNF, nice to see someone doing btb poi effortlessly with a smile on their face biggrin, instead of looking in pain and cofused.

i guess the only criticism is that oli's bfly planes get a bit sketchy at times during turns, but apart from that

very well done! smile

If it was someone else I'd say why and as this is the first time i've seen it i'll treat it like that:

too much dodgy same time stuff
none of the beautiful flowers I've nailed so perfectly.
random and un controlled stalls
little longarm variation except for a few separations
messy split time butterfly. That should be simple enough to get right
lots of turning round not really doing anything. (this would be excusable if I was really dancing but I'm not)
no isilations, not even my little buzzsaw
poor variety of moves altogether

nothing makes you go 'wow'. oh well - guess the world can se a really bad burn now hey?

on the plus side - your crazy floor level stalls look wicked with fire.
You look properly oli-tribal, even without your dreadies! All the level changes add loads of depth.
longarm actually extended fully - much much cleaner than on the beach
loops defy reason/gravity/belief as usual
be careful coming in and out of split time vs same time butterflies otherwise it all looks a bit unintentional

apart from that ubblove

but frown that you didn't show me first hug2 I'm not happy with fire online - I don't like it.
