i think these tricks will look good if you find yourself juggling while sticking your hand up a monkey's bottom:



- claw catches

i think that it will look best if most of the catches done by the monkey are clawed, and the un-monkeyed hand does normal catches.



- fakes

vertical and horizontal fakes with the monkey moving round the pattern. also while doing a fake the monkey could stop (while you're still doing two in one hand with the other hand) and look at you, then try to put the juggling ball in your mouth ("no, stop monkey, i don't won't the ball").



- two in one hand

the un-monkeyed hand does two in one hand while the monkey does various movements such as: figure of eight, weaving in and out of the other two balls; around the head; or just throwing the spare ball up and orbiting it with the monkey then claw catching it again.



- under the leg

under the leg and the monkey accidently catches the wrong ball .



- 423

or anything with a 2 or a 0 in it so you have a pause to look at the monkey while you're juggling.



- machine

just using the monkey for the machining part.



- statue of liberty



- chops

done frantically. clawing one side of it makes it look even more out of control.



- back of the hand catches

there was just space to do a back of the hand catch. a mixture of these and claw catches would look quite good.



- shower

well somewhere in between a shower and a half shower where the 1's are put into your mouth from the monkey then taken out with the other hand continuously for ten of so throws with you pretending like you're protesting ("bad monkey") between mouthfuls. then (when you're resigned to having the monkey putting balls in your mouth [if anyone makes a 2bags/teabags joke here i'll get very upset]) instead of putting the next one in your mouth from the monkey throws high and "kisses" you, and you pretend like you're not enjoying it.



- purposeful drops

you tell the monkey it's doing it wrong, then it attacks you, grabbing you by the throat and you drop all the balls. if you do this at the end of an act, and during the act if you ever make a mistake and drop, you tell the monkey off, then it would make all your mistakes look like they'd been part of the act.



any use? those are just off the top of my head, sans monkey. i'm sure that if you gave me a monkey as a present i could come up with a routine for you.

thanks for all teh stuff man, thats really cool, i was trying to get the shower with three balls last night, its going to take some owkr, but i see what you mean, that could be a goodpattern to use...

hopfully, it would allow me to have some skills building with my basic juggle patterns

mills kind of worked last night, and im trying coloums as well to get the fakes, and take outs working

actually, i'd always know i'd copied the guy who first used a puppet on his hand while juggling. since there's a shop selling juggling puppets, i'm guessing that's not you.



what i'd always know would be that you showed me the potential of a juggling puppet, for which i'm most grateful .

i just bought one of these

mainly cos it looks like it has loads of poetential, and also cos it looks a little crap, and cos it savs monkeys! and monkeys are AWSOME!

but anyways, the next time i see you, i would like your help in making some changes to my patterns and layouts to see if i can make juggling with teh puppet more relisistc?

Ok so last night i managed 3 rotations of lukes lobotomy with the 4s caught behind the head (think i'm putting in an extra beat though). Also got a mills variation where you throw the 1 ball as a btb throw and catch it same handed (btb)but before it makes the btb catch it throws the 2 ball as a one to the other hand. This then means you can put the btb caught 1 ball back into the pattern as a U ball and repeat the tick on the other side. Bit of a half assed explanation, but in essence its a mills shower with the 1 ball thrown btb.

Other than that been getting 6333 and 5444 solid? (4b not sure of the numbers as always). and my 4b squeeze catch is sudenly way more consistant.

Oh and i got 7 rotaions of 5 ball tennis and a couple rotaions 5 shower. 7 is still arrrrrgggggg!!!!!!!!!!!

Like to see the mills mess.

I've been trying the squeeze catches too, but can only do two rounds of the [54] split with 4b.

Been trying like mad to get a new 5b shower multiplex - from 91, collect three and do reverse 753 split. two from one hand to other side, one from other hand goes thru gap in middle of multiplex, then back into 91. I almost got it at the weekend, tried the 4b version on renegade but no joy. AaAArRRGggGG!!!!!

just sent them back for free repair though so i'm quite happy really.



i've found that whilst juggling with big black balls might make you look cooler, the extra drops you make due to them being invisible more than cancel out this gain in kudos.



i have three new aerotechs on order though

and i'll have some fergies reeeeeaaaaaaal sooooooon...

jon - the viktor kee version involves a pirouette under each explosion as well!
oh, just looked at that wiki page and it tells you that there.
so you knew that already.
if you're getting the explosion right you are probably doing something like (2,[6x,8x])([2x,2x],0) instead?

i learnedyesterday to kick up bith my shoes into a 3 ball pattern today

so one ball in my hand to start and then kicking up shos to make the rest of the pattern

its a synchronous (1-up 2-up) mills pattern, with the 1-up as the u-ball.









as for me... i caought a 5-up piro yesterday, and got the next four throws out and caught... but not the fifth, so it doesn't count.

caught several eight ball flashes, and one run of 14(better before, but i haven't practised for ages)
