Posted:i remember in primary school we attached bottle rockets to paper planes. we taped it to a really long bit of string (& i mean long - about 10 metres! over a small cliff at the school!), then we tapped the end of the bottle rocket & it flew along the string! biggrin

pretty lame now that i think about it...but hey! i was 6 so it was really exciting!! ubblol

one more thing - why did your parents give you a lot of bottle rockets!? seems like something most parents would avoid like the plague!??? confused

Posted:I was well into making explosives as an adolescent!

Picric acid and aluminium...
Ammonium triiodide...
TNP (luckily that one never worked!)

I hope to be certified by the Institute of Explosives Engineers by the end of next year, which means I get to do it legally.

And I still have all my fingers. Life is good.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

Posted:Fireworks. The little rockets you put in a bottle, light, then they shoot out screeching and pop at the end.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.
We'll blaze a new trail,
and torch the rough patches.

Posted:I blew the lid off a dog bin on Castle Field at Southsea with a HUGE French banger. Juvenile, illegal and silly, but we had a whole box of them and it was funny

.You've got invisible fangs and cherry nun bangs,
Your erotic cabaret is non stop
You're wearing too many belts
And I bet they leave welts
Shut up and dance cause I wanna pop.
