to take u back into a bit of a time warp does anyone remember the series the mysterious citys of gold? i managed to get a hold of the first series all 39 episodes, unlike most childhood tv shows this one was actually really really good when i rewatched it. so my question is does anyone know if there was a second series made?

Wish I could help you out there man, but alas I am unable to.

Have you tried searching online for it? That is the only way I know of to find out, unless a fellow HoPper has the answer you seek. wink ubbrollsmile

Ohh ohh If that is the series with a huge golden bird type plane type thing, then I know what you're talking about. Pretty darn good memory for only seeing it once!

I really want to find the... umm something about Pirates of Dark Water... I forget the whole name but that was a great series. I never saw the end but man if I could that would be great.

There wasn't a second series made, at least not one that was ever released in English. Like so much in life the true class of Esteban et al., was just too sophisticated for the newer generation.

A decent page about it is here

It even has the theme tune in French.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

And all these years I have remebered it as the lost city's of gold. For years I have thought that I was the only person who remembered it. I thought that maybe I had dreamt it. I think I used to watch it before i went swimming every thursday just before Thundercats. V. jealous that you have copies of it ben. As I remember there is only one series.

Poi... it's an obsession.

flashfire they are formatted to play as vcds so they will play in most dvd players, there are 39 episodes that take up 13 cds. u can also watch em on ur computer they work with windows media player. they only just fit onto 2 dvds if uv got access to a computer with a dvd player i coooooooooould burn em for u and post em to u, and then u could post them to wizz and then to another child of the 80s and so on

speaking of the 80s, i received this email today.....

You grew up in the eighties if......

You watched the Pound Puppies.

You can sing the rap to the "Fresh Prince of BelAir"

You wore bike shorts under your skirts and felt stylish. >

You yearned to be a member of the Baby-sitters Club and tried to start a club of your own.

You owned Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls.

You know that "WHOA" comes from Joey on Blossom.

Two words: M.C. Hammer (cant touch this...)

If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock"

You had plastic streamers on your handle bars (as well as spikes in the wheels so they made that sound)

When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch >cartoons.

You wore a ponytail on the side of your head.

You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the big screen.

"Gay" was happy, "butch" a kind of dog food, and "camp" meant a tent and the outdoors.

You wore a Jordache jean jacket and you were proud of it.

You wanted to change your name to "JEM" and have flashing earings

You remember reading "Are You There God? Its Me Margaret"

You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF"

You wanted to be a Goonie.

You ever wore fluorescent clothing

You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell >off

You remember the CRAZE and then the BANNING of slap bracelets.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after every sentence.

You remember Hypercolor t-shirts.

Barbie and the Rockers was your favourite band.

You thought She-ra and He-Man should hook up.

You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged friendship bracelets

After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying, "I know you >are, but what am I?"

You remember going to the skating rink before there were in-line skates

You had a serious injury from Slip-n-Slide

You know who Cousin Larry and Balky Bartakamus are

You have ever played with a Skip-It.

You had or attended a birthday party at McDonalds

You've gone through this list occasionally saying This wasn't from the 80's...

" Don't worry, be happy"

You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high-top Reeboks.

You wore socks scrunched down.

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies.

You know what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare!!"

You remember watching Rainbow Bright and My Little Pony

You thought Doogie Howser was hot.

You remember Alf, the lil furry brown alien from Melmac

You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool.

You know what a wuzzle is, and think bumblelion is cute

You wanted to be just like Punky Bruster

You know all the words to, and who sung, SHOT THRU THE HEART
and
YOU'RE TOO VAIN
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME!!

PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS WHO GREW UP IN THE 1980s!!!

ROCK ON!!!

"Here kitty kitty...." - Schroedinger.

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Ok, I was NOT interested in being JEM or Punky Brewster.

I wanted to be either one of the GI Joe, Thundercats, He-Man, Voltron, Transformers, or SuperFriends characters.

Just for the record. ubblol
