I bought them on a whim, opting to get the ones with stitch on wicks rather than normal wicks for the price difference, which I recommend as stitching them on isn't to hard. The fans are large enough that they won't burn your hands but are still usable for tech type moves and spins, are amazingly light and easy to handle with large bright visible flames. Definitely would recommend these fans to a friend."

"Pretty easy to sew on, especially if you have a thimble. I appreciate the 2 needles I received with my order though I broke them both fairly quickly. Found more success with an embroidery needle. I taped up the gap in the bottom of the ring with gaffer because my pinky kept getting stuck in there, I'm super new to fans though so I think if my skill improves I wouldn't have as much of an issue."

"For the most part I am so happy with these! The design is amazing, balance and weight is really ideal and everything seems really high quality so far, the spider fans are a joy to spin. The value is also amazing and I feel a little more connected to my fans after stitching the wicks on myself. However, one of the needles was broken when I received it and there wasn't enough thread in the kit to stitch everything as thoroughly as I would have liked so I would suggest HoP to include at least another meter of thread on the spool :)"

"Arrived in less than two weeks, lightweight, and it really pays off to order the DIY option. They burn like crazy, it'll take a bit of time to get used to, since I worked with larger fans before(more distance). The grip works well for spinning, a bit less for static/closed grip moves, but then again, I should just practice more :) My only concern is their durability. But for this price, I can easily order a new pair if I abuse them too much. Oh the joy of blatant consumerism :P"

"I own a pair of medium lotus fans but I decided to give these a try as well. They are much better for Russian style technical spinning compared to the lotuses. They are light and easy to spin, although they tend to bend if they are dropped. I don't really see the purpose of those small finger holes, especially if you're doing tech, but they don't get in the way either. All in all, a decent product, considering the price."

"I have bought 4 sets of HOP fire fans in my life. Yes, they're cheap fans but they are unbalanced, and Everytime I order them they come bowed to the point where I can't even submit a photo of the damages because it's more of a feel then a problem you can see. They're packaged not in a box with their fragile frames and weak metal, but in bubble wrap and plastic, which obviously isn't strong enough because my two pairs of lotus fans and my two sets of spider web fans came bowed. As a serious performer I don't buy fans to have them past me a few months. The fans came with the smallest amount of Kevlar thread, I had to go buy more. One time I bought a pair that was even missing a wick! I've performed with these fans from the beginning so I don't like ragging on them, but now that I've spent some time with some other brands of fans, I suggest that you go with another company."
