Cute little opener
"This is a great opening piece which works especially well if like me you are doing a good deal of performances in low-ceiling bars members clubs and clubs because it is sure to not hit the ceiling. It especially looks fun with different colored flames though I would recommend the longer one as it enables more mobility in your tricks. There is a post about difficulties spinning it out because of potential kinks in the wire but this problem is easily avoided if you just wrap one handle in a small baggie and then spin it out holding the other handle and remove the baggie after."

"These poi have a great impact during the day and at night the leds are cool. They are not as bright as flow poi but they dont cost as much either. The poi are very comfortable to spin and are a bit stretchy. If you are considering they are worth the price."

"These fluffy poi are perfect for begin 'cause they're light and you don't get hurt when hitting yourself at start. As getting better spinner the lightness may still not be good 'cause the weight is needed when doing more complex tricks. But definitely good purchase!"

"At first I was a bit skeptic about how bright these things would end up being but when they came in the mail and took them for a spin they had exceeded my expectations. The poi has a nice heavy feel to it but not so heavy that it tires the arms out fast. Great buy!"

"my first set of poi figured they'd be perfect for a novice after talking with a friend who got his first pair last year. he suggested the socks over nylon cord. strobe is great balls are soft enough to not hurt when accidentally smacking yourself. only thing i'd like differently is if the socks were symmetrical so i could add an equal weight/size ball in the opposite end for a handle. poi arrived on the date advertised all items intact. neighborhood kids love them. have already recommended homeofpoi to a couple friends. keep up the good work."

A good excuse to do poi in the daytime
"These things are pretty bright and easy to see from afar. I like them for doing fun poi moves in the day and the tails gives a good look for people watching. I mostly stick to spinning at night but these give me an excuse to run outside and show off some simple moves. 4 Stars only because they are so light that it actually makes it hard to do some tricks slower and have more control. They do their job well though thank you."

For Modifying Fun
"These quicklinks twist in such a way that when they are fully tightened they do not come undone very easily. This makes them very safe for use with fire toys. However in comparison to the stainless steel variatio they feel a little flimsier. Don't get me wrong they are strong enough and they are bettered only by their stainless steel counterparts. Along with 6 of these links I also purchased a pair of intermediate 65mm fire heads to modify my poi into double headers and it was very easy to do so thanks to the quality of the products. I was told they would arrive on the 1st of September but on the 24th of August just over a week early they arrived...much to my delight. As always with HoP: Excellent quality matched only by brilliant service."

"So I currently spin between cole cord poi ball chain cathedral heads and these; and I have to say this is my favorite pair. While the balls themselves do not glow too bright aside from blue and green being the brightest though lacking still the socks and the weight these balls add make spinning reach serene states. The stretch and weight of these balls make slow moves last forever feeling complete control of your movements. While these are definitely not the best pair for people who want to spin fast and try to show off this pair is great for learning your own style and exploring."

"my son couldnt wait to get these. i had given him poi lessons and all the equipment needed till he got to be on fire for his graduation present from high school he got to try fire this last weekend on the beach here in california at sunset. i wish i had been there! he was with his teacher and friends but they took a video for me. he cant wait till the next time. the only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 was he likes the chain and leather handles he got from his teacher. other then that they should be a 5 and a 10 for the service we receive. everyone says to order here in the US but your prices are better and the service is wonderful. we already have our next 2 orders waiting but gotta save some cash so we can keep ordering. u really need to have a store here in California there are so many people doing the fire arts along with juggling and such we live in a very small town and we have kids taking lessons from my son and some of the troupe he performs with. thank you again."
