Agreed, it may not be too ecologically sound, but it could be our only defense against the whoopee cushion.

I was about to mention terraforming! Beat me to it! They reckon by blwoing the ice caps that atmosphere ect can be created - hopefully our planet has more than a few hundred years in it...
