Ok. Here goes.
Thursday 24th March
Woke up about midday. Jumped on the bike and span out to college to renew the minidisc recorder that i've been using. Then returned and fielded phone calls and text messages for a couple of hours whilst getting very stoned. At 4.45pm I walked down to Falmouth Town station and got there just as a train pulled up, disgorging UCOF, Bovril, PyroWIll, Flame Boy, Dylan and Mieke (sorry guys, not sure of HoP names.) We headed back to my house and drank tea and smoked bifters until Brad finished work and came over to transport us out to the campsite. I rode the bike to save space in the car.
Got to the campsite to find a bunch of people already there setting up tents. Greeted those I knew, and shook hands/hugged those i didn't, then picked my bike up, which i'd stupidly parked on very soft mud, and moved it somewhere slightly safer. Blagged UCOF into helping me set up my tent, then kinda helped him with his (although Mr 2bags was doing such a good job of helping that I kinda wandered off down to the barn to meet the wusses down there.)
Once Brad had got everyone up to the site from my house, he set his tent up, then he and i sped into town in the van to go to the joinery where he works and chop wood for the bonfire. On the way we got a phone call to go to the station and pick up DSAds. On the way back we got another call to go and pick up Tao Star and Eddie.
Eventually we got the beach, and got a fire on. About half the happy campers were too tired to do anything but sleep in their tents, so the few of us that were there went a bit crazy, including walking across a roaring fire. Frodo won the game when he did a cartwheel through it, burning his hand.
At some point in the early early morning we put the fire out and wandered back to the tents and slept.
Hehe. Brad'll hit me if i try and kiss him!

Woohoo for the wusses!!!
The wusses were marvellous. We were all warm and cosy with comfy sofas and a kitchen.

I do agree. I am a total wuss.
But, if I had stayed in a tent I would've been grumpy and unpleasant by the Sunday cos I was cold and hadn't slept.

Hugs to everyone i didn't hug, and specially to you Mags for being an absolute star and feeding me tea. Even though you did gloat (just a bit) about going to the beach in that gorgeous sun while everyone else was doomed to a day on a train.

Friday 25th April
Woke up ridiculously early considering the sun was peeping up as I climbed into bed. Got supplied with a cuppa and a sausage sarnie by Bradley, the lifesaver, and had a wash. Spent large portions of the day welcoming new arrivals, and fielding phone calls from those who were having trouble becoming new arrivals. My friends Mark, Simon and Joe came down from Launceston, which was really cool. Didn't expect any of my non-HoP mates to motivate themselves enough to come, but I'm really glad they did as it saved me explaining it all to them.
After much waiting for news, it was announced to the campsite around midday that the Manchester spinners, who we had thought would not be coming due to a stolen minibus, were now on their way, and there was much rejoicing at their resilience.
Spent some time playing staff with PyroWill's amazing homemade stick. Super heavy, and therefore lovely and slow for contact, but metal, so heats up quickly. Tried to imitate DSAds devilstickery with the staff, and ended up learning a few things from him that kept me immensely entertained.
Ninja Dave arrived, along with Faceless Joker (wicked hoodie), Nate (a.k.a. the little [censored]) and another Dave, who's HoP-name i didn't catch. (If he has one.) Thus I learned more groovy new staff things, including the groovy-ass limbo move. (I'm not explaining that, but I hope Ninja Dave will make a movie of it soon. Until then, watch A Taste of Lyme, in Oli's vid thread...which is [Old link] )
I managed to weasel out of helping Brad with the wood, and he managed to make me feel REALLY guilty about it. I stuck around and span some more, then led the charge to the beach to get the fire on.
Having purchased some intriguing little blue things from a certain someone, (you know who you are), the evening panned out into a hazy (yet colourful) blur. I think everyone who was there came up to the beach, and a few people came out from the town as well. I seem to have left the details on the beach, but a lovely evening was had by all.
Around 5ish those of us left kicked over the fire and picked up the rubbish and ambled back to the site for coffee (raided from the barn) and more spliffs, followed by sleep.

Saturday 26th March
Woke up around 1ish. Wandered to the barn to have a shower and a cup of tea. Smoked a few bifters. Span a lot of staff, and occasionally a bit of poi. Learned flowers from Garthy, (legend) and a bunch of crazy randomness from Ninja Dave (a.k.a. Sensei Daaaaave, aka 25-staff-Dave)
About 6ish Brad, Simon and I jumped in the van and went off to chop wood. Got back about 9ish and went to the beach to drop it all off. I think we had the most people on the beach we've ever had in 4 Falmouth meets, (well, 3 and a v2.1) and I managed to yell at most people to come take part in the epic Fire Line, which hopefully will be appearing on a video near you soon. In fact, it had better do, as that was 2bags reason for not taking part. Particularly cool was exhorting a bunch of people who'd never spun before (not sure who they were or whereabout they came from ) to grab toys and take part. Only one person refused to take part, but I'm sure he had his reasons. (And he knows who he is )
Got well and truly battered, yet again, and singed various bits of myself. By this point in the weekend i was seriously losing leg hair, but I guess that's what you get for hop-scotching through a roaring fire. I blame Frodo personally. And 2bags.
By sunrise all but a few had departed the beach for the campsite and so those of us left kicked the fire out, and scraped the coals around. They were glowing nicely, so it was suggested (by 2bags) that we should walk across them barefoot. To be fair he did do it first, which prompted a little line of stoned idiots marching across hot coals at 7am on Easter Sunday. Once I'd lain down on the coals, and Strugz and I had had a "who can sit on embers the longest" contest, we tidied up and ambled back to the site. Raided coffee from the barn and dragged my sleeping bag out of the tent and lay down outside to smoke bifters with Eddie and watch Mr Strugz grooving with the aerotech poi. Fell asleep under the blue sky.

I was going to do that course!! Got a place after an interview but have decided the traveling is jus too far and hectic to come home for a weekend!
Such an amazing place though!!! So jealous! If only transport was better!!

Not going until september! Got a place at Bournemouth and thinkin of Southampton as my 2nd choice! Is it a good course? Looks too much like just a print one rather than all aspects of media!

Falmouth is slightly more angled towards Print, as we have a BAHons in Broadcast Journalism as well, but Broadcast is one of the 2nd year modules on the regular (proper) Journalism course as well.
Bournemouth kicks ass, allegedly.

Sunday 27th March
Woke up around 1pm in my sleeping bag in a field. People had been taking photos of me asleep. Dragged myself to the barn and had tea and a shower, then bimbled back across the field to HoP Camp to attend Mr Durbs' CJ workshop. Spent the afternoon doing stick things, and before we knew it, it was dark, and we still hadn't gone and got the wood! I decided to have a burn at the site, and soon there was much firey-ness going on.
Brad, Dylan and I then piled into the van and went into town. We went to my house so that Dylan could burn some photo's off my computer, but like a dick I forgot my keys and couldn't get into my room. So the three of us went and chopped wood for a few hours, before heading back to the beach. A lot of poiple didn't come out on the Sunday night, a few had left already, and a lot had to be early the next morning. Strugz was passed out in his van from staying up all night on the Saturday.
UCOF and Brad started building big pyres of wood, and dumping them on the fire. Eventually we were standing a good 20 feet back from it, it was that hot. A few local Falmouth types came out to the beach for a bit, and we had some cool drums to spin to for a bit, but once Brad and I had driven back to the site to pick people up and brought them back again, much of the drumming had stopped. Which was a shame.
Had a bit of a spin, got ninja'd up, played some silly songs on the guitar until I panged a string, then headed back to the site and had a smoke with Brad, Simon and Ninja Dave. Fell asleep about 5ish
Monday 28th March
Woke up about half ten, and had already missed a good few people. Walked to the barn and had a shower and a cuppa, then packed up the tent and started trying to wake Brad up/picking up rubbish/sorting out lost property. By the time the last few of us left the site we had all been hugged about a million times, and the field looked (almost) spotless. The train posse, Brad, Simon and I headed back to mine and drank tea until it was time to walk them to their train.
Collapsed for the rest of the day, draggin myself out in the evening to go and play poker. All in all, a damn fine weekend.
Sunday 27th March
Woke up around 1pm in my sleeping bag in a field. People had been taking photos of me asleep.
Dragged myself to the barn and had tea and a shower, then bimbled back across the field to HoP Camp to attend Mr Durbs' CJ workshop. Spent the afternoon doing stick things, and before we knew it, it was dark, and we still hadn't gone and got the wood! I decided to have a burn at the site, and soon there was much firey-ness going on. Brad, Dylan and I then piled into the van and went into town. We went to my house so that Dylan could burn some photo's off my computer, but like a dick I forgot my keys and couldn't get into my room. So the three of us went and chopped wood for a few hours, before heading back to the beach. A lot of poiple didn't come out on the Sunday night, a few had left already, and a lot had to be early the next morning. Strugz was passed out in his van from staying up all night on the Saturday.
UCOF and Brad started building big pyres of wood, and dumping them on the fire. Eventually we were standing a good 20 feet back from it, it was that hot. A few local Falmouth types came out to the beach for a bit, and we had some cool drums to spin to for a bit, but once Brad and I had driven back to the site to pick people up and brought them back again, much of the drumming had stopped. Which was a shame.
Had a bit of a spin, got ninja'd up, played some silly songs on the guitar until I panged a string, then headed back to the site and had a smoke with Brad, Simon and Ninja Dave. Fell asleep about 5ish
Monday 28th March
