Hello all. My name is Patrik (yes, without a C) and I'm new here. I currently live in North Little Rock, Arkansas in a great little arts neighborhood called Argenta. I'm originally from all over the place and have moved around more than I can remember.
I'm a Leo, I'm a guy, and I'm a bartender at a GREAT little Hippy bar.
My favorite food is hands down Hummus. I eat it at every meal and LOVE IT!!! I'm a vegetarian with vegan / macrobiotic tendencies.
My favorite color is blue, or tie dye. Yes, tie dye is a color. Look it up on Wikipedia (I don't know if it's a color...probably not, but look it up anyways.)
The wing speed of a European swallow is roughly 11 meters per second (24 MPH).
I like to read a lot and play outside. I spend a great deal of time with my best friend and her daughter and husband...I guess I sort of have a normal family vicariously through them.
I have a B.S. in finance, an MBA in International finace, and a MAM in accounting...boring huh? That's why I bartend.
My favorite book is probably Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder, highlighting the efforts of Dr. Paul Farmer and the PIH organization in their treatment and erradication of the TB virus in Haiti and Russia. It's EPIC.
I LOVE Planet Earth, the BBC documentary...and HATE TV. I have no idea who would win in a fight between Godzilla and the Star Wars thing...but Avatar was really cool in 3D...
I have no idea what I'll do when I grow up...I hope it never happens. Ideally, I would like to be on tour selling food, tie dyes, hula hoops, and LED poi...wait...we already do that! I guess I need to make that a lifestyle and not a vacation.
I love music of all kinds, with Radiohead being the most influential band in my life. I've found solice in Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk, Elliot Smith, Bassnectar, Ott, and everything under the sun.
I'm a little dude, so my butt never looks big. I eat bird food...come on now.
I hate icecream and everything dairy, excluding feta cheese if its locally made from goats fed organic food...but how many of us really have that?
I LOVE NUTELLA!!! It should be required by public schools instead of potable meat and all the other junk they feed the kids.

More to the point, how are people not reading *all* the intro threads, as well as the Shout it From the Rooftops and the Last Post Wins as well as whatever is flavour of the day meant to actually understand half of this stuff?
I sometimes worry that it might be just as offputting.
