Posted: I'm packing and gathering supplies for coalesce festival where I will be doing fire workshops for both poi and staff, my first performances after learning the choreography, and free spinning throughout festival designated burn zones. I use ultra pure lamp oil and was wondering how much I should take with me for the 3 day event?
Does 64oz (1 gallon) sound like enough for me and sharing a little with my cabin mates for free burns?
Thanks much in advance, I'm picking it up on Monday.

Posted: 64oz is a half gallon, and I would go for a full gallon, especially if you're sharing. I think you could get maybe 8-10 burns out of that, at a guess? I'm trying to base it on how fast I went through it before I started blending my fuels, and I think my 8-10 figure might be kind of conservative, but I wouldn't swear by that.

Haha, yeah I'm a genius in conversions aren't I? This is what happens when you don't buy things by the gallon but by the quart (like milk, I always get a quart LOL).
I have about 14oz left over in the container I have so if I got the 100oz to add on it would be slightly over a gallon. I'm not trying to have a whole ton left over, just able to hold my own and not impede on anyone else due to running out. I will be dancing, swimming, yoga, cooking, and other activities as well, but I'd like to get a good amount of live fire practice while I'm there.
Thanks much for the input, no big toys to worry about, I'm not sure which holds more the monkeyfists or the 4 inch staff wicks, but I have a better idea for preparation!
