sound ppl. My names Dan and im from redditch in worcester. had my poi about 3 years and the last time i used them was about 2 years ago after i managed to burn my hair off. now im back with a vengence to learn and be decent at poi in a month before the next vw car show!! tips and hints much apreciated.

Hey hey. I would highly suggest getting the scales of poi dvd from the shop and watching all the beginner tutorials on here. Also check out feuershow.de as they have a ton of videos from beginner to expert that can be put in slow motion.
Not sure how far your wanting to get in a month as everyone varies in how fast they can pick up new concepts and ideas.
Oh and definitely stretch as much as possible before your practice so you don't pull a muscle. I'm currently benched more or less from spinning poi as I am trying to get my shoulder healed up. Good posture will always help.
Other than that just put on some music and play around with them. Don't get to caught up on what moves you are doing and just spin the poi and move around and discover your space. I'm always open to a pm as well.
