I used to do firesticking and am wanting to get back into it. I tried buying paraffin from various shops without luck and was even told by one person that they were no longer allowed to sell it.

I was hoping someone could tell me what fuel is considered best nowadays and whereabouts I could buy it.

Thanks.

You can still buy standard paraffin/kerosene from some petrol stations in the UK. You can buy some fuel online. I would steer clear of meths or spirit based fuels as they tend to ruin kevlar wicks faster.

I still just use normal paraffin and I get on with it ok

You can get parrafin from any DIY store, such as B&Q or Wickes. It is sold as fuel for outdoor lanterns/heaters.
