Hey everyone!
I have been in awe of poi dancers for some time now, and was fortunate enough to be given some to me by a friend.. I pretty much haven't put them down, it seems it was fate.
My names Mel, I am an illustration student in Wellington New Zealand. I love painting on walls, photographing light, creating street art and meeting new people.
and....
I would have to say, marmite is my spread of choice, but only on vogels with half-melted butter!... mmmmm!

Yes they do I've actually always been really kept to myself, but I've been trying really hard to show my fun lunatic side that only friends know about. Everyone seems to think I'm always like that, and they get surprised when they actually hang out with me

Yeah, unfortunately. Except when I'm with my best of friends, or close family, then I'm near that near constantly. I actually don't normally drink much at all, usually just enough that I open up. Because that's really all you need for fun And fire, you also need fire for OPOPOP-TIMUM FUNTACITY!

heh yea, the drinking culture in wellington is disgusting, after walking sober through the streets at 3 in the morning it has put me off drinking.
I can't wait to have my first burn! i'm saving it for my 21st with some friends at a beach.. o yea!

apart from the meat market called courtney place.... but then again, wellington-town isn't the 'drinking culture', its just enough to make me question drinking.

haha i love that, yea wellington is small but i don't think i would like it if it was any bigger, the size makes its very comfortable, i'd have to say a great place to study but you wont see me here for longer than that.
how long were you in Wellington for?.. its defiantly better than Auckland

When I finished 7th form, I left for Australia, then I moved on to the States. It is better than Auckland.

I go see my grandmother as often as I can. She lives on the Terrace. It will always be my hometown

haha, you mean where in NZ? id call myself a wellingtonian, born in palmerston north but my parents broke up while i was quite young so i moved between my parents for most of my life, and they liked to move alot, living around the north island and spent a couple of years in australia.
yea, they have canned the wellywood sign now (thank god), hollywood would have sued heh but there now thinking of other things to put up there, i say give it a rest and move on.
