Woah.... Just went outside for my first staff session in a couple of weeks... Like someone else said, what you don't use, you lose.... >.<
Finger spins have come back (thankfully, though only double in left as opposed to triple on right), behind the back RTL is ok, LTR is... well, miserable, throws are ok, but still verging on horrible, transitions are coming together (this is new, at least I did something new this time! :D), back spin base is terrible though... Needs a lot of work.

Frustrated beyond belief. All of a sudden I can't do a forward btb three beat, which I could do pretty flawlessly this morning. I keep hitting myself in ways that never happened even when I was just starting to try out the move.
What's more, my new contact balls are also tearing open. What the
? I make the cuts too small, pulling the rope inside tears them. Make them too big, bumping into things tears them. Drill in holes on either side to act as rip stops, they tear anyway. So in another month or so I'm going to need to drop $40 on new heads for my main contact poi.

Met another spinner for the first time and we had a lot of fun Plenty of burns. Got some video, we did some tunnelling and screwed around a lot. Had a lot of fun poi-in around and bouncin ideas. He also warned me about people at public events will ask to take your poi and they'll just do the corkscrew over and over and over and... for minutes until you take it way from them

competitive poi is a disease, where's the love?
that being said, i do like to take some nice gear away from someone that i can show up. i love teaching, but i also love showing a spinner where they can get to with some time.
note: this happens to me, too. on occasion totally owned with my own stuff. can't wait until i can "impoisinate" other spinners styles.
