Is it safe for me to do a spiral wrap with K-1 kerosene without a kevlar sheath covering the metal parts at the end, I'm more concerned with doing one while whirling and do it above my head.

Yeah, as for me, I'm going to use some of my Christmas money to get those Kevlar sleeves. One, I'd feel safer

lol. i just used my christmas money on the pro series chains with the cathedral heads. also got some head covers. im excited.

That's the same set I got! Except I don't have head covers. I'm not made of money you know Maybe some other time I'll get them. What size do the cathedrals use? Also, invest in a Zippo, you'll thank yourself later if you're using Kerosene.EDITED_BY: SpinnerofDetroit (1262487415)

i have a fire pit instead xD and i use the cathedrals that come with it. its the like $72 set. regular cathedral. And i got the head covers because it adds the realistic weight and drag of fire (mwahahahahahaha)
one problem. WHERE AND WHAT DEPARTMENT OF A STORE DO I GET KEROSENE!!! WALMART (THAT I KNOW OF) DOESN'T HAVE IT!!!

I get it at a meijer gas station, you can buy a blue gas can. Where I am, they are 5 gallons, not sure if that's standard. But legally, you have to buy it in the blue gas can and when I got it it was $2.6666 per gallon. Idk why all the 6's but yes there was 4 or 6 6's. And you don't get it inside of the store, it will have a separate pump outside somewhere around the gas pumps.

What is? Kerosene?
Foot: By paraffin, do you mean Kerosene or white gas? I get confused with the word paraffin, don't really know what it is.
Forrest: Yes I do have a kerosene pump, never noticed it before, but as far as I know it's the only one close to me. It's at a Meijer gas station. And you should be able to get it anywhere that sells kerosene heaters.

Paraffin and kerosene are the same thing.
Paraffin is what they call kerosene in those countries where they drive on the wrong side of the road.
Neither kerosene nor paraffin should be confused with white gas, they're two separate amimals. White gas requires more attention to detail than kerosene/paraffin and has been known to go BOOM! if the vapours end up in the wrong place.
Lamp oil is just a very expensive way of buying kerosene.
Then there's all that weird stuff the Australians use. AFIK Shellite is similar to white gas ans D60 is some sort of solvent that resembles kerosene. Don't discuss fuels with Australians, it only leads to madness.
