YAY for john marsden...!! I haven't read the "tomorrow" series yet, but I recently read a couple of his other "youth-oriented" books and they were fabulous. in fact, I reckon his books should be required reading for all teenagers and parents of teenagers; he's very good at getting inside the heads of "young adults" and viewing the world from their perspective.

oh, oops... and welcome to HoP...!! grin

Hi there Bree-arne, welcome to HoP and hello! I'm up in Brissy but maybe I'll meet you somewhere other than online.
GO read the Tomorrow series, Pogo, they are fantastic! Yay for John Marsden indeed! I had a runaway lad come stay at my house a few years ago who'd never read a book in his life till then, and he finished all of them over few months, it was wonderful to see him open up to books and the power of sustained story like that. I also think his sudden increase in literacy had something to do with him taking up juggling and devil stick cos I really do think those things help with the left-right brain or some other positive neuro-factor.

.....Can't juggle balls but I sure as hell can juggle details....
