well there's two ways round this - be completely subjective and just give a definition as best you can or go to the oxford english and copy it out.

i'm going for option a) abitrary definition.

time is like an infinitely sized biscuit. it slowly crumbles away but it still gets well soggy if you leave it dunked in your tea for too long.

right here's a hard and an easy option (you can choose which you'd rather have a go @):

evil

or

contented

Posted:A spiral is a linear geometrical form in which the radius of curvature changes steadily as one progresses along the line.

The other use of "spiral" is a helix, which is a three-dimensional geometric form which is described by the path of a point moving at a steady rate around a circle while also moving at a steady speed in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the circle.

Pick a harder one.

Posted:Reality: What you vaguely see in your peripheral vision, but runs away when you turn to look at it.

How about making this a bit different - ever read The Meaning of Liff?internet version In it Douglas Adams & John Lloyd give new meanings to the names of towns. For example: Shoeburyness is the vague uncomfortable feeling you get when sitting on a seat which is still warm from somebody else's bottom.

So, each person makes up a meaning for a name of a place given in the post above, and leaves another place name for the next person to give a meaning to. Feel free to ignore me, but I'll start with: Scole

For example:
If one were to see a spinner perform some kind of wicked syncronous stop where both poi land on the top of the arms at the same time, in a crisp robotic style, one might say:

"Aiye, thats phat, thats scole"

(err sorry couldn't resist)

next up:
Chesham

It was meant to combine the qualities of cheese AND ham, in order to halve the effort required to make a cheese and ham toastie (or Croque Monsieur). Unfortunately chesham ended up looking and tasting more like bacon yoghurt, rendering it unsuitable for any purpose other than the lubrication of industrial machinery.

Posted:The root of the word lies in the Shakespearean expression "fie," or to express intense disapproval. "Fire" would therefore be a more distilled (pure and powerful) expression... the shortened form of "fie-er." Because what happens first when you burn yourself? You let out a word that is usually reduced to asterisks ("****!"). More powerful than "fie" I would imagine.

Okay creatively define:

such as 'the politician gazed impuissantly at the crowd'..

or 'the man froze impuissantly as the flaming cathedral poi wick arked into his groin after a mistimed 2 beat windmill to 5 beat forward weave transistion....'
[dont ask]

more a more douglas adams/john lloyd definition is:

impuissance - 'the air of a short, weedy, ugly man who has by far the most attractive woman/man (being politically correct) on his arm at a fashionable party completely due to the fact that he is ridiculously wealthy'

next word is....

rectilinear-propogation
