hello other people who spin things about. i used to pop on here and troll around a bit and maybe even introduced myself. I think i might have posted a total of 5 times. anyway i thought id re-introduce myself.
My name is chris. i live in new jersey which of course is a great excuse to love travel. i am an unadulterated leo and a colorblind art teacher in limbo. right now im working on my illustration portfolio and love to draw. i work in bright strong colors and am always glad to help people out if theyre looking for artwork for personal or business interests. i dont have favorite colors- but am open to temporary installments of hue interest. i spin poi mostly but recently received a set of double staffs that arent quite short enough for me to double (which is saying something for my 6'4" wingspan. that being said, i really like using more than one toy because you can apply the theory of one to the other and find fun things hiding in between. i am hooked on fire and would love it if someone decided to drop a pair of braided fire snakes in my lap but in the meantime i'll just save my paychecks. i like home cooking and specifically comfort food. cheese is just shy of essential for most of my meals. and i havent found a meal not made better by a nice cold pale ale. coffee and tea also seem to make me happy. as far as reading goes, ive been in a story book mode lately, likely due to in immersion in storytelling while illustrating. this led me to read stephen king's dark tower series and now im working my way through robert jordans wheel of time while grinding my teeth of gearge r r martin's inability to get off his ass and write the next song of ice and fire book. i'll spin socks/staff to anything but my favorite music to listen to is usually something like disco biscuits, new deal, lotus, or sts9 with a healthy smattering of older music. fire soundtracks however are a different story. i like something patient but creative and rythmic- any suggestions besides a good drum circle?
well the whole reason behind actually reintroducing myself is because im much more interested in meeting new people (preferably in the area/in person) to spin with or chat with than i was when i first signed up. i think when i started learning poi i was too move obsessed and missed alot of good oppertunities to make some good friends so hello again HoP!

Even though I'm in NY I pass through there often enough, lots of friends and family in Jersey.

i grew up in south jersey but came up to college around the trenton area and work in princeton. how far into ny are you?

I live on Long Island. Have some friends down in Princeton that occasionally find themselves at the Princeton Juggling Club for however long that is. Aside from that I've got family in the Redbank/Leonardo area *shrug*.
I'm in the city (nyc) fairly often when I'm not at work or in class.

ha i went to school with some long islanders. endless fun mocking one another's accents in jest. music and shows usually draw me to the city but that's about it. i don't know as many people in new york since they all moved away.
