When it comes to the Crunch
Metro, Friday May 9, 2003 pg 3

Your favourite biscuit says more about you than whether you dunk or not. What you bunch can also reveal your character and approach to work, new research has claimed.

'A jaffa Cake shows someone who is creative, while a Custard Cream indicates reliability,' said psychologist Gladeana McMahon who studied the behaviour of biscuit-munching executives.

The person who like Boasters is likely to be the boss or a decision maker, the findings indicate.

A HobNob nibbler indicates someone who is dynamic and thrives under pressure, while a Rich Tea will be chosen by someone sober, strategic and discerning. Digestives are the ones for technical or financial specialists. United Biscuits, which carried out the study, says that 90million biscuits are eaten every day in Britain.

Strange, I always thought my love for Boasters was the fact that they contain hazlenuts and big chocolate chips. Clearly my choice represents my fine recision making skills

I'd have to confess to being a Hob Nob nibbler, and it seems quite close to the mark.

Chocolate Hob Nobs are just the best biscuit ever!

My sisters boyfriend used to work for United Biscuits.. ooo the 'care' pakages we used to get... mmmmmm..

BUT I have to say that an old HoPper introduced me to caramel digestives.. OMG.. I could eat a whole packet in one go back then.. can't anymore - coz my trousers wouldn't fit anymore.. too yummy!

I honour you as an aspect of myself..

No offence to anyone but I think that survey is a complete load of soggy crumbs left in the bottom of the tin.

Are we nearly there yet?

I agree Thistle..

... thats why its in social

Cadbury's chocolate fingers with caramel or toffeepop anyone?

Classy choice with the caramel digestives too Stix. Do tunnocks teacakes count as buscuits - they do have a layer on the bottom....

What do Gingernuts say about you I wonder. God I love gingernuts...mmmmm.

And Tunnocks tea cakes should count, as they too are delicious, and have a biscuity suprise awaiting the lucky devourer! *Licks lips*

Right, I'm off for some Marmite crisps and a gingernut.

Jaffa cakes all the way! Although I've never tried any of the others mentioned. And I have to buy the jaffa cakes at a specialty shop called Kathryn's Celtic Connection. Ah, the joys of living in Canada

And Daddy! They took my boot!

Mistix - depends on how many of those biscuits you have actually consumed

Thistle - I agree that the survey is a load of tosh! How absurd was that 'research'. Quite infuriating when you think about the amount of money that was probably spent on this oh so valuable research.

At the same time it gave me a giggle!

Metro is just packed with sublime facts verging on the ridiculous.

Xirtam - Kathryns Celtic Connection - bizzarre coincidece (as I am Kathryn and have celtic connections!) Clearly though the fact that it supplys jaffa cakes and not boasters means that the owner is creative rather than bossy like me
