So I'm thinkin' about thinkin' about what I'm gonna do this summer.

I'd love to do a little vacation with my princess but I'm not quite sure where...

I could always do the "hotel"/"hostel" thing which I've done quite a few times but it'd be way more fun to stay with some of my HoP buddies.

So I guess my question is:
Who's got a bed? Any of my HoP buddies have a roommate that will be gone during late July early August? I'm just sort of throwing it out there with hopes that someone will magically PM me with:

"Oh my god! You should come out as I've got a spare bedroom and desperately need someone to pet my cat while I'm at work and I need a performer for a fire show on the 2nd of August as I just found out that my friend can't make it and I really need someone to help me eat all of this chocolate and a cute couple to help me test out my new Jaquzzi!"

Hey, a guy can dream can't he? Feel free to laugh at my boldness. Of course, I'm mainly talking to my "friends that I've actually met" here as I don't think I'll feel comfortable crashing at a complete strangers house (call me crazy!)

*** Oh... and keep in mind that even if I do get an amazing offer I still might turn it down so don't be offended.***

OR tell me if there are any cool events coming up that are poi related for the summer that I should be out there for.

Possible places that I have to stay already with NON fire friends: San Fransisco, London.

PM me or post here...

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Ireland's on your way everywhere if you decide to head europe direction. Tis especially easy as a stop off toward England/scotland/wales.
Definitely worth seeing too.

Well the EJC sounds lovely BUT... I must say... my princess hasn't done much travelling in her life so she's a bit intimidated by the thought of camping out (and the photos of the mud from last year didn't help!)

I know I can roll with anyone in the fire community and will gladly sleep in a ditch/floor/next to a burning trash can to stay warm (See EJC 2002)/crack den/concrete slab/etc./etc/etc/.... BUT I will have to run it by my princess to see...

THANK YOU for the hospitality from all!

Maybe I'll do a week by myself on floors and attics and then find some actual bedding when my princess comes out.

Kisses to all and keep those invites coming! I'm still in the "thinking out loud" phase of contemplating the trip...

(Flattered and heartwarmed by the invitations!)

Well, shall we go?

I don't think you'd be forgiven if you didn't get over to the UK! Edinburgh is a great place to take a princess because it's got a real live castle! It's older than those pretend old buildings you get in the states And London's the coolest city on earth, so you gotta visit

So, see you in London!

Hey Poiaholic...

The way I see it, I might come out for a week or two BEFORE my girlie and go poi crazy (as she isn't a spinner). Then when my girlie comes out I can do touristy, cutesy, romantic stuff. So I'd be down for a sidekick for part A but um... the three's a crowd for part B.

And any aussie that can find me a ticket to Austrilia for the same price as a ticket from NYC to London can HAVE me.

Well, shall we go?

Buy NYC a ticket and you can have him! There's an offer nobody can refuse!

Oh, and I think you mean "as she isn't a spinner yet". Then again it's probably best that you keep her safe from the iresistable charm and physique of the UK spinners. Those US girls can't resist an accent

No really it's great here, honestly

Not for nothin' BUT I am realizing that I will obvoiusly be not using my fabulously located East Village Apartment during the time that I am there. So if any of my near and dear friends would like a few weeks in a New York City apartment in the center of the coolest city in the world... we could switch.

Again, I think I'd be more comfortable switching with someone I'd actually MET before. I am a paranooid and cynical New Yorker after all.

If you ever feel the need or desire to pop through Berlin, I just got a most fabulous room in a most fabulous co-op type place where I have extra space and we also have nice rooms we rent out to short term guests.

And hey, Berlin is pretty pimp. We got Love Parade and the Anti-Love Parade, not to mention all the other parties in random parts of Germany.

I know you're not coming out here , but just thought I would offer so I at least attempted to repay you for putting me up before.

If you are thinking northern California, then I can definitely offer you guys a place to crash and party. I'm not sure if you are heading to Burning Man, but I do need someone to watch my place and my spoiled rotten cat for two weeks while I go play.

Santa Cruz is a great place to hangout and visit if you are looking for sun, surfing, hiking, etc. etc. Plus, we have a pretty kewl underground scene. Maybe you can time it to visit Calif just before BM so you can make it all in one trip....
