Ok, I get bored at work occasionally, and since I don't have internet access there, I have to turn to minesweeper to keep me entertained.

Anyway, this afternoon, I got the expert minefield in only 116 seconds! Woohoo!

As you can probably tell, right now I'm very bored

I discovered vegas-style scoring on solitaire the other day, and now I am hopelessly addicted once again. It's a completely different game, and ooooo so entertaining.

I was up by $800 once...please tell me that you actaully play solitaire in casinos, 'cause if so then I'm off to make a farkload of money, and if I'm lucky maybe I'll buy myself a nice little island somewhere.

The scores are stored in a plain text format in the same directory as the game (either a .txt or a .ini file). Not very difficult to make the top scores 0, 0 and 0!

I've done beginner once in one second... one click and every mine was revealed, lol I went through a serious Minesweeper craze at uni and got down to around the 180 second mark for expert level... not quite so quick any more though

Ah, you can't do that with Windows XP, it doesn't keep them stored in the .ini file anymore.
Which unfortunately means that I'll lose my high score when I get my work computer upgraded, or I leave.

mmmm... mindless windows games... i could play them for hours... I once finished expert level on spider solitaire but i think it was a fluke, and i've decided anything beyond the 1 suit beginner level makes me think too much anyway, thus defeating the point IMO. My best ever minesweeper scores reside on a different computer as i haven't got the patience to play it with a laptop finger pad thingy... but i've had enough of all of them, which is why when the superfast internet came along i transferred my allegiance to shockwave.com and diamond mine... bored of that now too though...
