so you've gone on a trip and relised too late that you've forgotten your poi at home heres a thread about random things you have spun because you where a) bored b)had nothing else to use or c)wanted to see if you could

i've used a pair of 10 kg anchors on rope to spin before then i relised how dangerous it was and used my shoes instead

Ive also used teatowels while cookin, and when i take my dogs for a walk u use their leads (perfect!)

it's actually quite hard, did you know kids bend

-keys on shoelaces from off the shoes I was wearing at the time
-chainmail dice bag
-purses
-grocery bags
-christmas ornaments (both for contact juggling and poi!)
-shoelaces and leds
-flower baskets at work (*shh)
-socks hot out of the dryer while knotting them to put away
-and once, with Havocangel, contact juggling cans of Alpo
..... I get bored a lot in line at places and at other, random intervals.

I give you Steve, one of my fellow EJC organisers spinning toasters: toaster poi on youtube
Naturally this was after much Buckfast at the Belfast Juggling Convention - vid is very short, but you get the idea.

I've used lacrosse sticks before, it was difficult and not very successful and made me realize I ought to learn to use a staff! (something I haven't yet done)
