So it seems there might be a few spinners heading to asia this winter with spinning on their minds. I just wanted to see who else is heading over, what their plans are while they're over there.
My tickets are booked! I'm arriving in bangkok 16th november, and returning to ireland 3rd February
I've heard from a lot of spinners of a park in bangkok where people meet up every day to play. Thanks to Banshee Cat for the following info:
Nick (poi celebrity number 1
) is planning on a poi camp in Pai, northern Thailand, where spinipulation enthusiasts can meet up and play, practice, etc (see his post below). I definately plan on spending some time up there with him during my adventure. Probably stop number one after bangkok... 
Leave your winter behind, come find some winter summer!

It is the Pra Atit boat stop, and the park is called Pra Sumen. I would reccommend staying closish by at the guesthouses on Sri Ayyutaya rd-- Tavees Guesthouse, or Sri Ayyutaya's, or Shantis, all very close together down that road. Nice community... May Kai Dees is a great restaurant for veggie food along near that strip-two locations, one on samsen, and one off the end of Kho San rd and across the st.... Probably more specific address in the guide books...

Josh, years ago I really enjoyed the little hike to the princess grotto, it was so prehistoric looking, check it out if you can! Its down aways from Tonsai,closer to Railey but in the general vicinity. Kayaking along the limestone cliffs and caves is beautiful too.Glad you found a place you love.
But the swimming really is better almost anywhere else! I wish we had connected so I could introduce you to the secret beauties of Ko Pg,and Ko Tao, and erase the taint of Haad Rin et al...

Not for tourists... but I am not your average tourist lol kidding. Yet, Thailand is more like a second home for me.
Regardless, perhaps special is a better word than secret?

we re doing fireshows for some rastafari guys that runs the "no name bar" and that happily provide us with everything we need to enjoy are nights (drinks, parafin, food, smoke ..)

To anyonme trying to find us on Koh Phangan, head to Had Yuan or Had Tien,

well, i arrived today the port blair (andaman island) and i will stay here for 1month, spinning on white, deserted palm beaches with crystal blue water 
guys i have to say: at the moment i feel sooo good with poi. amazing feeling! it goes directly through my body into my heart, from there into the brain (making buzzing) and transfered into my soul! wow!!! thats cool!
ok, i hope to see you soon!

We're only staying here another day before heading to Cambodia for a month, then into Malaysia, anybody around those parts at all?
Would be good to meet up with people if they are!
Had a thai massage today highly recommend it for people who are hot and bothered with tired feet!

Drew is leaving on the 17th January... I'm leaving on the 20th (or so)... Ronan is at the end of the month... and I'm not sure when the rest are leaving.
Olivier.. hope all is going well in Europe... I'm sending hugs and circles of light and love from the island...
