Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!
I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!
A bit about me then:
George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!
Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.
Location - Christchurch, NZ.
working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

just as well I don't have the photo's of the fishnet stockings and swiffer then isn't it! But it was in public! ANd different suspenders than I was thinking of - you know those things that go over your shouulders and hold up your pants? Yes, well, in the good old days they used to woz called suspenders....

Wow, nothing here for agess!!! So time for some news...
Late last week I was offered a opportunity at Airways NZ helping sell/rollout solutions to International customers wanting an airport, a control tower, a radar or an improved Air Navigation System. There's lots of international travel involved and I'm sure it's going to be interesting and challenging, and almost back to my roots where I started out in the job force.
My last day working for HoP is on Friday but I am seriously going to make the effort to keep on the forum and keep in touch with people because as you already know "once you HoP you can't stop"!
I've really enjoyed the (almost) 2 years I've been at HoP and it's all because of the HoPpers - that 'family' that no-one can walk away from once becoming part of it. Actually the new job might give me some opportunities to meet some of you in the flesh a bit easier with the travel aspect so if you get a knock on your door in the dark of night don't be too surprised!!
I would never have met the likes of the nekkid moon-dancing, fairy loving, mad (nutella loving), hippy buncha people that I now consider as friends if I'd stayed exclusively in the Electronic world so I'm extra glad for HoP. Thanks everyone for letting me part of your lives and I hope that I can keep finding some time to keep track of you through here even if I can't through HoP HQ.
Anyone wanna buy a control tower??!

It's all a bit shady still, some time March/April. I'll let you know once I book the flights, it'll involve some planning unfortunately given that it'll be a trip of a lifetime and I want to see way too much in way too little time (but I have to get back and earn money again at some point).
