Hi guys,

I hearby invite all you wonderful spinners to a meet in Oxford on the 9th September as a celebration of my triumphant and permanent return to Oxford and a chance for all those hoppers who've never met the lovely Oxford people to do so biggrin There will be fire and food and if it rains, my house and my kettle.

It will take place in South Parks which is ridiculously easy to get to but i will post directions soon anyway.

Due to annoying timetable clashes i cant make falmouth 6 and bristol is looking a bit shaky so hopefully lots of loverly peoples can make it! biggrin

hug's to all

Beth xxx

I guess I'd better be as I was tasked to organize this, didn't think to post it as an 'event' tho just did the usual in the oxford spinners thread redface

There's a little hardware store on magdalen road btw, on the corner of that and hurst st., (off cowley road, with 'The City Arms' on the corner) that sells paraffin at £4.50 for 4 litres, 50p cheaper than fred's discount store (which has run out atm).

it gets dark earlier now so more fire wink

In recent weeks I've become a bit of a connoisseur of parking in the St Clements area without a permit so can make a few suggestions that might be helpful.

* Cross Street off Morrell Avenue has bays where you can park as long as you want between 18.30 on Saturday and 08.00 on Monday. Think the same rules apply to a stretch on Morrell Ave itself just opposite the Cross Street junction.

* the top of Morrell Avenue, about here also has space that Yakumo's parked in before for hours at a time during the evening and not been booked so far

* there's also bays here on St Clement's Street where you'll be ok between 18.30 on Saturday till 07.30 (I think) on Monday, but there should be plenty of space in the 2 places above

Course the key thing is check what the sign says before leaving your car... Happy parking smile

shhh you wont get booked at that point on morrel ave cos it's fulltime free parking, shhhh smile

many other areas are free if you check the signs from 6,7,or 8pm till 8am the next day too.

...got to get to the angel parks now...

Bump!

Shall we attempt to get to the park a bit earlier seeing as its September now, maybe about 4 - 5 ish? Then, weather permitting, we can set up some bbqs and have food!

Hey all,

What time is this thing starting tomorrow?

I've got a gig in Birmingham tomorrow which I need to be at around 7, but wouldn't mind breaking the drive up for a spin half way there smile

And how late will it be going on till? I'll be done by 10.30 at the latest, so...er...about 11.30/12 I could be back in Oxford. Did someone mention crash-space? ubbangel

Even the balloon pornstar I put in one of the drawers in your bedroom?

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
