I'm a first time Poi man. My cousins introduced me to the art, and I picked up on it fairly quickly. I have to say I love the way it flows, and the feeling of grace and power in one's hands.
I'm 28, Male, 6'2" and built like a linebacker, with the grace of a dancer... which makes Poi even more fun...
I live in Austin, Texas, USA. I suppose this being one of the capitals of weirdness I fit in, and so will my poi once I get better.
I'm a performer by nature, and love to show off (although I'm not a jerk about it...
What I'd like to have follow up on this, I suppose, what are some of the more funny/interesting/frightening stories you have from your early experiences with Poi? In the meantime, be safe, have fun, and keep it (flaming) hot...
