weavesmiley Wow I had no idea this was so big. I ordered the fire poi right off the bat and now I am wanting to get the neon ones or led lighted ones for practice . This stuff hurts . I like to watch it on video as well as the book and get it all explained I am apparently a slow learner but any tips are much appreciated. how do I shorten the corded fire poi ones with the cathedral wicks

Hey there Aspen,

welcome to HoP! Can't help you with the poi-shortening, but I think you have a better chance of getting an answer if you post your question in the [Old link] section.

Yup, poi hurt smile For less painful practice poi you could also just get a couple of knee-length socks and put tennis balls or juggling balls in them: the only drawback is that they stretch, and therefor feel and react a little differently than fire chains.

Also, have you found the [Old link] section of the forum? Some very inspiring stuff in there!

As for learning, it's easiest to just learn 'live' from someone else - do you know any other spinny people?

You've found your way into the introductions section here, and we'd love to hear a little [Old link] about you!

happy spinning!

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
