Basing any theory/"point" on what you see in social chat is a thoroughly silly thing to do.

yes i know. but there is/was a method to for it. you see I found this story, and decided to see something. let me explain: this is a funny story. period. if he had been hurt, or if anyone would have been hurt i would not have posted it. i posted it to see how many people here would "analyze" the story, insted of just laughing at it.....

now pink's just barely analyzied it with the 'suppose' part of her post, and if rabids hadn't been obviously sarcastic 'art thingies' he would be right here too.

now obviously i did this for my pure enjoyment of finding out how people think........thanks wink biggrin ubblol
please don't get/be upset. i do this all the time my friends...

It's not "just a funny story. period." as in addition to a tumble down some stairs, some almost certainly incredably expensive (probably cultural value as well as dollar value) vases were smashed up.

Just a funny story would be a man who tripped up on his shoelaces just after being warned about them and tumbled down the stairs without getting injured, just missing the vases on the way down. It's the extra damage to the vases that makes it worth analysing.

For the record though, my first thought that along the lines of 'stuff like that happens because people can't be bothered to learn a good way of tying laces'

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Asked about the porcelain vases, Margaret Greeves, the museum's assistant director, said: "They are in very, very small pieces, but we are determined to put them back together."

The museum declined to say what the vases were worth.

Concerning the question of what the vases were worth- I'd hazard a guess at 'considerably less than they once were' smile

I'd go as far and say that it was in fact the extra damage what made this story worth putting to records...

Jakit: why analyzing this? this story is a shrug I'd rather wonder how the man feels now, after knowing he destroyed artefacts... and just to know whether he feels bad - which would be unnecessary as it's been an accident...

But I smell the point: for discussion too trivial - for chat too meaningful... shrug where to post it?
