It's transformational, deeply spiritual.
I perform without ego, and the reason I can do it is because it is solely for the inspiration of those watching. I want more than anything to convey my own sense of wonder and belief in magic. I want to give people an other-worldly experience. I dance into each move deeply, and like to use costumes and theatrics. Eye contact with the crowd is deeply underestimated -- I know most people don't do it because they are shy, but it can make performers seem cold if they are not interacting. I also play with speed and height a lot.
I think the best performances entrance people into your own fantastical realm for a moment.
Give them magic or put the fire down!
