seeing as no-one's mentioned it today, I'll just take a few minutes of silence for what happened four years ago.

good call. i might not like the US much but that is irrelavent. innocent people lost their lives. i still remember where i was when i heard about it, i remember watching the towers fall on live TV. i think it was the mark of a new way of viewing the world. that was the day 'terrorism' became a household word; before that 'terrorism' was more of an abstract concept for most people, a phenomena that wouldnt really affect them.
how wrong we were.
so, if that was the start, what will be the end?

It took a while, but once their numbers dropped from 50 down to 8, the other dwarves started to suspect Hungry.

Obvoiusly still a big deal in my neck of the woods.

They're doing the 'Reading of the Names' on TV all morning. Always pretty touching as family members read the names of all those who were lost.

And the twin tower light pillars have been on all week. I still kind of expect to see them whenever I look south.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

We could see the two beams of light from the hospital. I was on call last night. All the residents and nurses went into the conference room (that had the view) and had a moment of silence. A brief moment...because the pagers started going off.

It was poignant for me because it reminded me that we must remember the dead...but that our priority at that moment was to care for the livinig.

I know this is completely off topic, but I clicked the link and read it. At the start it has a nice little poetic thing happening and i just searched it on google to see if it was from a song etc. And I found this, it's weird

Apparently that chick is famous and stuff, because she is from Iraq and writes blogs. I don't know, but it just seems strange. Unless I read stuff wrong, but it seems they are making plays about her.

Why can't they make plays about me? I write in a blog too! ubblol Sorry. Bad joke. Carry on.

What have they built in america in the way of a memorial? Anything? I think it would be nice for a great big statue to be put somehwere, I think memorial statues and things should be as big and grand as possible.

This reminds me of the dianna memorial, whatever that is (if she has one Im not sure) I remember seeing plans for this lame water feature thing in a park or something, people said it was good because it was small and degnified and Dianna would have liked that. I just thought it was pathetic and 'wet'.
