hey, im Lianne hows everyone doing?
im away up living near the capital of the highlands in scotland, i got my staff for christmas after pleading with my folks for ages to get one. my portugese friend introduced me to it while he practised it (unlit..) in college, and a couple of friends took their staffs down to the beach, we had a big fire, watched the sun set, watched it rise and played with fire..
i loved it so much and found out a couple other people i knew had poi as well, i just had to get a staff..im slowly learning contact stuff after a short session up in lewis after speaking to a couple of guys who were spinning and had put on a great show, it was a load of info at once, but i think i remembered quite a bit! if youre reading this guys thanks again, i couldnt remember your username so make yourself known like!
also into music, heavily. i like a wide range, mostly alternative i guess, everything from punk to funk to stoner rock to psy-trance to dark metal, theres a band for every occasion and more! i sing and write songs as well, my aim is to find a band into as wide a range as i am and take different styles and mesh them altogether, take everything i like about it and put it in with something totally different and find a way to join the two. also play guitar and bass, and i love messing about with percussion, my little brother has a djembe
any way enough about me, take it easy

we had a really beautiful day yesterday for the biggest drinking sesh of the year (cept new year..maybe..) and today it was grey to match everyones hangovers.... my town has a miniclimate of its own!!
saye thats pretty good, dont know alot of gaelic because it was never taught in my school but my grandad was a big name in the mod and spoke fluently, i always wanted to learn but never got round to it... however alba gabraigh (i think thats how you spell it) is scotland forever, and tha gaol agam ort is i love you..so there ya go!

grrrr, i lost my job yesterday at the pub, i went for an appraisal and they fired me, saying i was late too many times (which is fair enough, and buses and trains are annoying to get timed with) but they said i was too slow, basically i wasnt making them enough money in a night because i was speaking to the customers and getting the craic instead of serving as many customers as possible. but fair enough. i didnt even bother arguing. but i was a bit upset cos i really liked working there. so i went and bought a ten deck and a few beers and sat down the river stared at it a while.
but then after chilling and stuff i went to the job centre and then the rest of the day was awesome, i met loadsa people i havent seen in ages and went for a smoke and a spin up the castle which toootally calmed me down... and i found a rainbow necklace..
but yeah, man i was going to turn my poi into a staff before.....i think i may have changed my mind... but i still want my staff back.......

hey ho! i got me a job!!!!
bad hours like 8 a week but free video rentals.....this could be a bad thing...less time outdoors more time glued to the eeeevil television BUT it sounds like they'll be ok with dreads, if all goes to plan my hair'll get started on sat, eeey! if not then sunday afternoon so you may even see them tammie!
ALSO...i found out yesterday, the guy i asked to pick up my staff from the airport couldnt pay the price they asked, like $80
but its ok....... im still going to make a new one. a better one, with crazy attachable streamer heads!! my friend 'Chelle and i are discussing a meet in nairn.... we think there are a few in the woodwork, and a couple of folk interested... and nairn has its own mini climate too!!

hey, didnt want to shout and scream about this so i thought this would be the right place to say....
my mum passed away last thursday, she had a very long battle with cancer, and after her strong fight it took its course...
i have a strong close family and lots of friends who are totally supporting me through this, and because of that fact i think im coping really well and still smiling and still happy despite whats been going on.
so thanks to the smiley faces and all my spinney friends..
