this fall, aug 1-17, i'm going to be in Scotland, hopefully competing in grade V at the World Pipeband Championships with my band from Vermont. I'll have info about where I'm staying, and what my schedule is soon; but, tentatively, anyone fancy a spin?

Also, i'm under the impression that, because I'm 19, the local pugs should be contacted and warned of an impending shortage of scotch, ice cubes, and lowball glasses. <-I love scotch. so, anyone up for a pint of guinness, or a scotch on the rocks? beerchug

I don't know what area I'm staying in yet, but the championships are in Glasgow, so I'm sure to be there at some point. If you come to watch you might see some good old fashioned backwoods vermont hick pipemagoring. "By the Right, GET 'R DONE!!"

I'll post more later.

Cool! Sure, you can come spin with us!

And if you run into a Chinese Austrailian piper, resident in Glasgow, called Johnno (sp?), tell him Gav says Hi!

so, more information....

from Aug 2-16th i'll be staying at the university of Glasgow... i won't have vehicular transport (other than bus or taxi or train) and i'll have a tight piping practice schedule, but for a few hours a day, especially evenings i'm free to go pub-hopping or spinning if anyone is interested. unfortunately, as i'm going with a trip that is primarily for students of my old high school, i can't bring my fire poi. i will, however, make up for it with my socks and glow poi.

soo, anyone in the area?
