Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

this year *is* going by really quickly.. and what a convenient year to spped past (gets my exams gone faster, and me in the UK sooner) am hoping next year goes *really* slowly though

Just checked the weathere and a bit of a turnaround... from black cloud and 2 rain drops to white cloud with a sun poking out 
gonna be a lot more fun dry coz I'm too poor to buy clothes so only have a couple of changes 
A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

mmm, it always comes round way too fast hey... i ended up going to a friends gig, which started late (and ergo finished late) and i had a little bit too drink... a not so good combination for school the next day

It was quiet. I went out for a couple of drinks on Friday and stayed in on Saturday. I tried my darndest to get to bed early last night, but there were a few interruptions and I didn't get to sleep till 3 this morning...so now I'm just really really tired.

i know i dreamt last night, but because i woke up so suddenly, i dont really remember what they were about. i think i remember running down a street at one point, but not sure why. and i think one of the teachers from school was there, possibly talking about jam... hmmm

was great fun... couldn't afford it. I came home with more cash than I had when I got there
all performers food was free discounted prices at bar and chai tent I learned poi (yes really in an advanced workshop too ) there was happy baggedness all round. met soom cool peeps forgot all there names and did magic when I couldn't hold a stick anymore A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

bah play will be better, cooler people and a much higher skill level, hell I was in the top 5 staffers there only sandy, simon, tim and chaz were any good at contact staff.
on a funny note our stereo did die right at the start of our show on friday so we had no music

it's nothing too fancy as it's mostly street theatre which involves matt talking lots... and lots
but we have 1 choreographed piece with staff passing (only 1 dropped so far in shows)
and hope to have a couple more by then if the slack poiers can pul their fingers out. A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.
