Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too.
Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

yes thats the one...and it got worse when we got home... we all have to move out in two months because they need to fix the bathroom. buggerrrrrrrr!!!! I dont want to move...I dont want to have to move to somwhere less-than-satisfactory and live with people I don't know/like. No it's not nice but you have to detach yourself from the emotional ties you have to the place and just focus on it as a task that has to be completed. You all thought about going house-hunting together?
Yes you will have memories tied to the house but the house was nothing without the people who will still be in your live regardless of whether you all live in that house or live separately...

Thats the thing, two of the housemates have expressed the posibility of maybe moving in with other people as it would be easier (there are two rooms becoming available and they are around the right time). It's not just that. I have to find somewhere in th efirst two weeks of January for the end of Feb, or I have two weeks when I get back. Thats an impossible amount of time. That means I cant do anything for christmas or spend any money when I go to SA as I will need it for a deposit, so my only holiday in two years is ruined...its the end of an era, yes we will still see our friends, but it wont be the same.
There is no positive to this, it's messed up an already trying time and creating even more stress in an already stressful situation, it's made the belt extremely tight, it's unsettled everyone and it's put a damper on the one thing that made everything ok.
I'll get over it eventually, but this one thing after the other malarky has a habbit of making a normally joyful person really sad...ALL THE TIME!!!

yeah..on the bright side, we don't have to worry about environmental health anymore and can really make some noise. I've already got decks sorted and were going to hook up 4 extra speakers. And it's going to be mostly breaks,so they'll be feeling the vibrations in Jamaica ...
