hey, new to the forums but not to homeofpoi. finally got the guts to join up. Not actually any good at poi yet, I can do a few simple spin patterns but that's it. I'm loving every minute of it though. For me its so meditative and relaxing! so yeah, hi all

I'd say my monday is getting a 5, it just started for me so I'm not sure...all I know is that I have to go to school, I was awake at 5:45 and my homework isn't all done...plus I have to make up a test that I'm not sure on the topic...so I guess we'll see how it goes. It can't be all that bad, after all I get to see my friends and boyfriend and I get to leave after 3rd block and go for a walk with my mom. so yeah, its a 5

lets see...hobbies...well, I like glowsticks...a lot. Its fun telling people I'm a raver even though I've never been to a rave. its fun telling people I'm a drug free raver because half the time they don't believe me. umm, I love drawing and painting. I make paper and make books out of it. I make clothing and am currently working on my prom dress and I have plans for another skirt made out of ties. as you can see...I like making things.
I'll probably post some pics of my raving later, I've got some stuff that looks pretty cool. but yeah...time to go to school.

hmm, I guess some other interesting things about me are I live in minnesota in the cities (I love snow!!), I'm 18 and I graduate this year, very excited for that. I'm hoping I get a poi set for graduation...that or the money to buy them myself...whee off I go

in responce to chase (my half brother's name is chase...tehe) I've tried snowboarding and skiing but my knees don't like me so it don't work too well. I wish it did. pretty much the best thing I can do with my shitty knees is dance. and people tell me and dance very well so I can't complain...damn, I like complaining! I like playing out in the snow too, especially when its fresh. I love driving to school in the morning after its been snowing all night and the trees are so weighed down with snow...its sooo pretty!!!...but back to poi...

I think one has to figure out poi on their own and by watching other people, you can't really be told what to do, at least that's what I've found. I can watch and eventually copy, but I can't be told. but hey that's just me.
does anyone live in the minnesota area around here??? I'd like to meet a fellow spinner...just not a creepy stalker person...damn internet and its evil secrets...you never know who could be watching...
I'm tired so I'm going to do homework now...toodles!

I'm excited!!! I bought my first poi set today from the hop shop!!! I'll get it in about 2 weeks...start the countdown!!! its the special set with the fluffy balls and the dvd of the art of poi and col2. I'm happy. cost me a bit much...but oh well. *sigh* I'm happy

I found out I had bad knees when I was playing basketball in junior high. I don't do physical therapy though so they aren't getting any better.
I got the pink fluffy balls because pink glows in a black light, I would have gotten purple but purple wouldn't glow, and I don't like yellow so I'm stuck with pink. I'm obsessed with glowsticks and black lights. pretty lights!!! I'd like to post some pics of me raving...but I don't have any gallery space. oh well.
