Alias: FireDollJamie or DollJamie - A few years ago I sent a paper doll version of myself to a friend in another city and the legend (?) has grown from there.
Age: 26
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
From: Kingston, Ontario
Favorite Toys: Staff, breathing of fire!
Occupation: IT Consultant (yeah...but it pays the bills!)
Movies : Brainf*ck movies - BigFish, Matrix, Butterfly Effect, Fight Club
Books: Lamb, mostly sci/fi but the last few years I've barely turned a page. Just been having too much fun travelling/spinning/etc.
Favorite Color: Blue - Sapphire but green is growing on me!
Other Cool Stuff: I come up with a lot of random ideas for things to build, create, grow, etc but about 95% of them are entirely unfeasible to create (unless you've got a million or two to spare for me to flush 'em out) but that other 5% which last and can happen are pretty damned good! I've started writing them all down so if I do win millions I'll spend my life proving that 'That DOES NOT disagree with physics'
Yeah, I guess that's about it. I've been spinning for about 3 years, I lit up for the first time my second year on the playa (Burning Man!). The desert playa is *THE* best place to spin and photographs thereof.
Looking for poi people in Ottawa area to practice on a semi-regular basis. Are you out there? XVI says Tuesday nights at Major's Hill Park. Yes? EDITED_BY: FireDollJamie (1115253338)

Posted: Thanks. We had a GREAT party last weekend at a campgrounds outside Kingston. The pyro we played with was only slightly more than impressive including propane ballons, molotovs, 2 lb magnesium blocks, steel wool firespinning and a few great sessions of firebreathing! Every so often you wonder if you aren't a Darwin Award nominee waiting to happen, but we have enough safety precaution / thought taken that the memories are worth it all.
Of course, I took my first spinning burn too :/ Thanks to polysporin (ouchie!) the burnt layer has oozed off and is all pinkish. Fire has the power to inspire and to teach thru mistake. Learn quick I say!
