hmmm.... some of us non-jugglers need to concentrate on the throwing and catching part before any of that makes the slightest bit of sense, thanks biggrin

my suggestion for boredom is to do nothing, i have found through extensive research, that it does not make you more bored, thinking about being bored and trying to do things to stop from being bored does....

Aurinko freedom agreement reached 10th Sept 2006

if it makes no sense that's because it's NOn-sense.

Wow. I wish I had enough time and money to study the effects of doing nothing while being bored. That would be pretty spiffy.

When I'm bored I read. Almost anything will do. (telephone directory will do at a pince, but the yellow pages is better)

If I don't do that I make up stories in my head.

Tell you what...
Recently I discovered what fan fiction is.
My god...
sick puppies.
Harry Potter will never seem as innocent as it once did.

And I found some 'final fantasy VII' scat porn.
How weird is that?

So, if you are bored find some of that, read, laugh, puke, read some more.

we have freedom of speech and this is what people do with it!

what do you do what you are like this?

Last time I got seriously bored, I signed up to do an Open Uni course. Seven years later, I'm still doing OU and don't have time to be bored!

The first six years I did a variety of humanities courses - history, religion, philosophy and art - and got a degree at the end of it. This year I decided to have a change so I signed up for one of the social sciences introductory courses.

They are a lot of money, but being able to pay for them on a monthly basis helps a lot.

The real trouble is that you have to be very disciplined to do OU study - you have a study calendar to tell you when you should be doing stuff but nobody's poking you with a stick if you don't do it. Even tutorials are optional, so it can be very easy to slack off and get behind with stuff.

I usually rely on being able to take the odd day off here and there to get my stuff done 'cos I don't have many free weekends to study. So think of me on Friday, I might get the benefit of a lie-in but I'll be spending all day writing a blummin' essay.
