Posted:I have an english GCSE oral coming up at school and have decided to spread the word and performance of poi. I have already had a practice in my oral room to make sure it's big enough and people saw me through the window and stared at me, intrigued by the mesmerising rhythm of poi! I am really excited about my oral now because everyone's going to be listening and i can show off my limited skills. Will go practice so I look vaguely impressive!!

Posted:Just curious, but what's an English oral? We don't have those tests in the states...If English wasn't your native language, I could guess it was your teacher testing you on your speaking ability, but I'm gathering that isn't the case. So what are you tested on?

THe teacher testing you on your speaking ability.

Many people in England dont have english as their 1st language.

Posted:well the thing is, in england they don't really speak very good english, so they have to take a test in school to make sure that they can at least speak english in some vaguely comprehensible way when they do want to...

naturally this is after many courses on instructing them on how to properly speak their own language!

wink

(of course what UCOF said is slightly more accurate... perhaps)

One guy in my sister's class managed to make every single one of his about drugs! ubblol ubbloco

I LOVE THEM!

in year 10 the topic was "life has taught me..." so i wrote a speech on "life has taught me that [censored] happens, and there are many different types" and i stood infront of my class for 3 minutes talking about [censored].

the next term i did one on Mata Hari, while sitting on my desk in a provocative pose...

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey
