the site is where we had the 2003 march 'Alien Invasion' party, slightly north of Undera.
This is the *first* november party that an officially sanctioned open fire circle will be held. Even at Earthcore Rough Riders @ Eldorado did not have an official circle, and *definitely* not at earthcore in the park nor the single traincore that was thrown.
I am a bit of a fan of doofs.

You live in Shepparton. That's the closest town to Earthcore.
You should go there a few days early and offer services in exchange for a free ticket.
We are planning to get there Thursday Morning. But I think they are there, setting up at least a week before hand. Otherwise I think tickets are $150 on the door. Which I know sounds expensive. And it kinda is.... but the tunes.... oh those wonderful tunes.... but if the artists and the music aren't your kinda thing then it's a lot of money.
However, its a great party, with lots of friendly people, and me thinks there will be a fire circle there, so there should be some good spinners.
However.... theres always Woodford for NYEs (although thats *really* expensive) I have heard there is going to be an amazing amount of fwirlers there....wooo exciting...
Anyway... hope you can make it to EC, you never know, I know at Rainbow Serpent (different crew) they do let the locals from Beaufort in, since its the local town and they want to support the local community... so you could always try that one?

Ive worked with EC on two seperate occassions, and found them to be quite professional and back up what they say they will including pay, which is more than I can say for other promoters I know.
Attack em for becoming a multistate / multinational party crew and all that comes with that, but as far as party promoters go, there are more underhanded ppl around.
and the parties still rock. At least the artists booked for Ec actually turn up, unlike many other parties, including trance festivals.

EC successfully caters for a wide range of trance, and this draws the clubby ravey kids - but then simon Posford gets to blow ur minds on the biggest clearest system Ive heard (ok I ddint go to outback eclipse :P). look at the acts and I think you cant argue, they are doing good things for the scene.
On the other hand - if its the more tribal festival you want, then theres tribadelic which is excellent - a proper psydoof festival.
but I'm not going into comparisons

EC parties in Sydney have consistently been substandard. I agree that the EC festival is extremely well done, however I think GreenAnt (in terms of big festies) have more spirit and less profiteering as a focus.
Anyway, if I wasn't going to BM, I'd be going to Earthcore. Earthcore events in Victoria are great - it's where they belong and where they should stay. Which was my point.

ill know as of tomorrow whether ill be drifting up there. will be my first event of this kind so im majorly excited about it. I'm rapped there will be a fire circle happening, but in any case ill be bringing an ample supply of glowsticks for twirling...get them majorly cheap from my work
would be good to get a HoP gathering happening. although i rarely post i do read a fair bit. i do know bender however (im the juggling club boy if you remember :P) so he'll have to introduce me
